Let me just premise this by saying that I hope Chad Pennington's football playing days are not done. What he helped us do last year warrants respect, and I hope he has one more chance to line up under center in the NFL next year.
However, should things not work out with his recovery, how do you feel about bringing him back as an understudy to David Lee? Or possibly even promoting Lee to OC and bringing Pennington in as the QB's coach? He's admitted himself that he is a "football head" and would love to help with the development of our younger quarterbacks this year if the top brass will let him. I think he has a great feel for the game, and that may translate into good coaching skills. What do you guys think?
