Pennington Deserves MVP?

No, Peyton Manning was both a better player and played a larger role in his teams success than Chad did. Think Chad probably deserves comeback player of the year again though.

idk bout that ... there was a game manning threw for 2 or 3 ints no touchdown and only 150 yards and they still won that game and it was against cleveland i think ... i dont think we could win any game if chad plays that bad no way

you must be high as a kite to say and think that...Colts were what...13-3 last year, and 12-4 this year...we were 1-15 last year, and thanx to the addition of Pennington,we're 11-5 this year,AND AFC East Champs...i say James Chadwick Pennington does deserve the MVP award...

I think our success this year has far more to do with having a better coaching staff then it does with pennington. Lets not forget how many times this year our offense decided to take quarters and even whole halves off. we really were not an offensively dominant team.

it is definitely a combination of both. if you listen to player interviews, pennington has a huge contribution. watch all the player interviews on dolphins.com today and that tells you all you need to know about how important on how pennington was this year. draft picks, good trades, good coaching, luck. they all go into it but pennington has been money this year w/ a 90 plus passer rating. he has my vote

Our success has to do with a number of things but mainly when Pennington came to town thing s changed quickly.

Here's my list for the reason for our success this season:
1- Penington
2- Offseason Moves (the Tuna really helped with this)
3-Wildcat Offense
4-Players who needed to step up did

WHAT? Without Penny what would we have had at QB? A rookie in Henne who I think will be great some day or John Beck...Penny has been a god send for us this year and without him I dont think we would have won as many games as we did...

Peyton Manning is a great player, no doubt. Peyton Manning plays on a great team with a great coaching staff and has for many years. Peyton Manning has an All Pro supporting cast.

Chad Pennington stepped in one month before the season started and was a team captain for week 1. Chad Pennington took a completely overhauled 1-15 team and brought all of these new guys together and led them to a conference championship and possibly more. Chad Pennington's best reciever for most of the year was Greg freaking Camarillo.

I have no doubt that without Chad, this team would have been out of things many weeks ago. I honest to God believe that the Colts would have been at least 8-8 without Manning. If you don't believe me, look at New England without Brady.

Chad Pennington "should" be the NFL MVP. Whether or not people will open their eyes to this remains to be seen. Lets see how the playoffs go first. I have a feeling that a lot more people will be warming up to this idea before all is said and done. Go Phins!!!

Pennington had a qb rating of 97.5
Manning's was 95

Pennington is MVP of the league

Let's be fair to Peyton. He isn't winning 12 games with the team he had in 2005-2006. Marvin Harrison's performance is declining, he had no run game to speak of, his offensive line was banged up and inconsistent, and his defense could still be better against the run.

That team begins and ends with Manning. The beauty of Miami is that they were assembled to where there was no one player that truly had to shoulder an excessive amount of the responsibility. Chad was a huge part of our success, no doubt, to the extent I question whether we'd make the playoffs without him, but I know the Colts wouldn't have a shot in hell with Sorgi at the helm.

Well, the guy who wrote the article is showing facts, and they clearly show that CP should at least be up there for consideration. Unfortunately, whoever makes the choice already has their nose up the butt of the guy he likes. Let's be serious here, did Dramaqueen Favre deserve to be in the Pro Bowl?

The article does suggest facts, but Miami's offensive line didn't magically start playing better simply because Pennington showed up. C-Pen would have had no chance on last year's team. The continued development of Satele, as well as Jake Long's monster year definitely helped.

Pennington as a candidate? Sure, I could go for it, but Peyton Manning IS the Colts. They were a perennial laughingstock when he arrived, and have had only one losing season since. And this year, he had to shoulder more of it than normal.

well farve may be retiring so you know the nfl is gonna pucker up and kiss hi butt
