Look...everyone knows that Pennington is better then McCown...once everyone gets that we don't have to start 500 new threads about the same thing.

I was curious to compare their yard per pass avg and this is what I found. Chad ypa is 7.1 compared to McCowns 6.26, that's almost a whole yard, could be a difference between a first or fourth down possession..Although, Chad may be on the downside of his career, but it still looks better then McCowns upside...Oh well...argue away.

BTW it will be really funny if Pennington doesn't sign with us, everyone including myself who supports the Pennington signing, will go back to hating him.
 
Well most of chads yards come from yards after catch but i still think hes an upgrade over mcCown.
 
I think he is a definate upgrade over McCown, if I didn't have worries about his shoulder i would be even more vocal about signing him. Mabie sign him to an incentive laced one year deal, and if he proves himself Miami has first shot at signing him longer term. If not, then not a huge deal. I then say you cut McCown and replace him with Pennington, have Beck serve a #2 and Henne as #3 to learn the system. I was a big Beck supporter, but all i keep hearing is negative stuff...need some insurance.
 
I agree with you that he's better then McCown, and I'll live with the trifecta's decision, but I'd just as soon not have either one.
 
Some fumble stats...

McCown: Games- 44
Fumbles- 39
Lost- 14

Pennington: Games- 69
Fumbles- 35
Lost- 11

Pennington has played about 25 more games then McCown as well.

I would much rather have noodles, then butterfinger anyday! Who knows how many possessions we will lose because of McCowns buttery hands...at least Pennington knows how to hold on to the ball.
 
How many Pennington threads can we start? lets go for 25. come on guys, you can do it.
 
If we sign Pennington he instantly competes with Steve DeBerg for best play faker in Dolphin history. Bob Griese in the mix.

Dan Marino comfortably in last.
 
Saying Pennington is better than McCown is like me saying certain kinds of poo are better than others. In the end, they all stink.
 
Pennington TD/INT ratio speaks for itself. Noodle arm and all, dude gives us an oppritunitny win more games than McCown does.

McCown is a complete bum. Always has been, always will. He'll be realeased, Pennington will be our starter week 1.

Book it.

McCowns stats and Chads arnt even close to being the same so how can you label him so poorly. the guy has a 88.9 overall rating. his lowest was a 70 and that was 3 games, while 104 was his highest playing 15 games. How is that bad?

I love how the top 10 threads on the board are about Pennington, and then the first line in your new thread about Pennington is about how we don't need to start 500 new threads about Pennington.

I agree though. Pennington is better than McCown.
 
I think Pennington will be like Jay Fiedler...not great, but you could do a lot worse. I don't think McCown has much to offer, so cut him and let Beck/Henne back up Pennington (if we bring Pennington to Miami).
 
With Chad we can run the ball and know our QB won't make stupid turnovers. We won't have a verticle passing game, but with beck/mccown we might not have that either!! so........
