Pennington makes Henne better

No question that Chad Pennington makes Henne better. Hopefully now Henne has a better coming out party than Matt Ryan and Flacco.

there is no doubt in my mind that beck is better then he was when he was a rookie i think he would be a good back up for Chad Henne

Anyone else forsee no extension for Pennington unless in a back up role?

I honestly don't see Pennington here after next year. I think this organization is sold on Chad Henne and the second Pennington's contract is up Henne is the new face of the franchise. Of course if Pennington has another season like he did this year, it may be very hard to justify replacing him with Henne. Though objectively i can't see Pennington having another extremely efficient turnover free year, not like this year anyway.

It could be something similar to the Chargers situation, where they drafted Rivers, Brees had that great season, had a bit of a downturn the next year and was let go. Rivers was then put in the driver's seat as far as the QB spot went.

Yes, and Jon Kitna/Carson Palmer too. Kitna had restored the Bengals to respectability, and played well enough to earn a pro-bowl birth. But the Bengals management was ready to hand it over to the young guy who they had invested a lot more into, and benched Kitna. I think thats what we're going to see here.

I pretty much agree.

Had Pennington not had the great year he had this year, I think we would have seen Henne out there sooner.

Are we seriously going to do this again? This is how it starts every freaking time.

Just let it go man .. all the debate won't change some people's minds unfortunately. On the internet, there's no " I was wrong, sorry "

Actually, Brees had that nasty shoulder injury which made things a lot easier for the Chargers.
