Penninton mightier than the adored Favre -- except in Pro Bowl voting

Due to my lack of posting I still cannot post links but look for the title of the article which is listed above. its on cbs sportlinedot com

The writer makes a lot of great points about how fans really jacked Penny out of the probowl.

He is correct, there is no way the coaches or players voted him in, it was us the fans.

Your thoughts?

PS- if someone would be so kind as to post the link, I would appreciate it.

I wouldnt start blaming the fans. The second Mcnabb claimed he had no idea there was such thing as a tie, I realized the average die hard can match the knowlege of a pro bowl player I knew theres quite a few players that would write in a name because they dont know the real deal.

I thought Pennington was leading the fan portion of the voting? Oh well, I guess i didnt follow it that closely

There are some good points you bring to the table, but if you had to narrow it down as to why pennington or rivers for that matter did not make it between the fans and the coaches and players, who would you point the finger at?

I think the coaches for the most part (excluding our last 3) have a good handle on the players and who is deserving.

The fans are biased but quite a few vote with honesty (excluding a favorite player)

But the players, once handed a form would probably vote for the biggest name, I see names making it all of the time even after its left the fan voting stage.

Thats probably why i havent watched the pro bowl for over ten years now (that and i always forget its on )
