Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Sunday's 25-16 win against the Bills.

Pennington completed 22 of 30 passes for 314 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. He compiled a passer rating of 117.9, the fourth time in the past five games he has had a passer rating of 100.0 or greater.

very nice,i'll take that any&every day of the week...Congrats to CP for winning that!!!

Hell yeah! Chad is a great leader for this young football team and accolades like this will go far to keeping that locker room excited!

I think teddy ginn derserved it more but hey, atleast its a dolphin. My question is has Farve earned this title yet? I think we are real lucky to have fully commited QB in chad pennington given that he used to play for the jests.

niiiceee, anyone know when the last time a dolphins qb was named player of the week?

i know in marino's last year he won it twice.

Jay Fielder won it once on the Thanksgiving day game versus Dallas in 2003.
He won it only once.
Scott Mitchell won this award as a dolphin also.

Very rarely does a player get this award without scoring a TD. If he had one TD he might have won.

You know JP is winning it and Im hoping Sparano earns his second Coach of the week.

I don't know if he got it the week he played the Cards but he threw for like 5 TD's that game.

GOD.. It feels soooooo good to have a QB we can rely on.. I cannot believe I would ever say that Pennington is the most reliable quarterback MIAMI has had post Marino... And only 7 games into his tenure here... Thank you FO for bringing him in, and thank you Chad for coming to a division rival and shoring up our pathetic QB postion for a few years...
