This guy needs a 3-4 year deal. He's in his prime, he's younger than Peyton Manning. Henne can wait. By the time Penny's done, Henne will still be younger than Beck is now. I've never seen better leadership from a Dolphins QB ever...including Marino! Also his QB Rating in our losses:93.1

*Make sure there are health clauses and voidable years, but let's not push him out too soon.

I would be surprised if CP wasnt the starting QB next year, very surprised...

Im sure all will get settled during the offseason. Penny is not the guy to bring stuff like that up during the middle of a post season run.

Let's let him play out his contract. Then if Henne is not ready, franchise him and keep him a Dolphin for at least one more season. Worked out ok for the Chargers when they did that with Brees and Rivers.

He's been playing very well. I'd let him start for the next 2 years if he can stay at this level. Henne should be ready to go by year 3.

He is signed for this year and next. We didn't offer him a minimum contract to start with and that is why we signed him so quick. He was happy for what he signed for and we are happy he did. Remember Henne insurgents that Romo set for 4 years. No sense in forcing the issue.

How many yrs does he have left in his contract? I would definitely be up for resigning him, it would be stupid if we didn't. I think Henne will eventually be the starting QB on this team, but for now let's have him absorb all of Penny's knowledge & habits.

yeah ok, lets franchise him and pay him top 5 money.

Lets let him play out his contract and then bring him back. No need to extend him yet since he has another year left. I'm not sure why he would ever want to leave here if we still wanted him as a starter.

He is the most accurate QB in NFL history with a few games under his belt. If he continues this level of play and leading a 1-15 team to a playoff push alll the while making our offense #1 in fewest turnovers and throwing for well over 3,000 yards why shouldn't we? Their should be no  when you evealuate the stats and think before you post.

If Pennington is not the starter next year, it would be one of the biggest mistakes in franchise history
