since he knows the jets offensive playbook, and farve only has 3 weeks to prepare,i dont think the jets coaches will have time to add any new wrinkles to the game plan.So Pennington could should be able to tell our defense what plays they are running. Also since CHAD has been practicing against that defense he should know there weaknesses.Put this together with our running game and the heat of a 1 o'clock game in sept. I might have to put some money on this one,I think the fins win this one

yeah...I was actaully surprised that Mark Sclereth(sp?),and a few other analyst's(I forgot who) said we have a better chance of winning than the Jets do,and for some reason,I feel if we beat the Jets week 1,they arent going to make the playoffs and Brett Favre is gonna retire

That 1PM midday heat and humidity is really going to do a number on Brett. He's 38 and hasn't worked out all offseason.

If we can grind it out on the ground, their defense should be wore out by mid 3rd quarter. Pennington def. improves our chances.

If we beat the Jets week 1, they have New England week 2 and San Diego week 3 (at San Diego). Brett is going to have second thoughts.

We've already added a new wrinkle to the playbook since Penny left, the TD pass.

The Jets absolutely have to win game one. If the Jets lose that game, they will go Oh and Three and their season will become a train wreck in slow motion. There is no alternative to winning that game. Brett knows that, and so does Chad. As a Jets fan I'm obviously rooting for the Jets, but smart money is betting the Fins to win this one. They have much less pressure to win, are playing at home in humid mid-day conditions, and now have a smart, cool and collected game manager who can grind it out on the ground and use play-action to get the ball to his receivers. This will be a huge game.

WOW, completely got blind-sided by that one...never thought I'd see it...a smart Jet fan
