"PENNINGTON WANTS TO MAKE JETS PAY" - NY Post

It looks like the New York media is writing headlines trying to give the Jets some bulletin board material.. They're desperate for something. And lord knows they need it as we will come out sunday playing like our hair is on fire .

I don't know about you guys, but I find it comical how the NY paper wrote that headline when Pennington showed class and respect in that article. It's rather hilarious really.

Boy is New York ever a total dump.
 
Yeah that title is a bit off base...nowhere does he say he wants to make the Jets "pay" or indicate such motivation.

But of course, how could he not.
 
Chad said what he needed to; stay out of the spotlight... it always burns you.

Thought this was interesting -
While Jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff, who rejoined the Jets earlier this week, was recovering from his latest leg surgery, he observed several Dolphins workouts. Miami coach Tony Sparano was less than thrilled to learn that Westhoff is still associated with the Jets. He said he would not have let Westhoff attend his practices.

New York always makes more of a situation than there is to make. This game is the biggest thing in a long time as far as Jets fans are concerned, and the papers will up everything a notch to sell. If anyone goes on miamidolphins.com, and listens to Chad's presser, you can hear everything he said and the tone behind it.

Easy. New York is great. The New York Post is trash.
 
I think Jet players know the kind of classy guy Pennington is and won't buy into the fodder.

New York isn't necessarily a dump- if you enjoy living on top of one another that is (some people like big city living).
It is their FANS that are what gives them a bad name. Obnoxious yankees

Outside of the room where he would hold his news conference, Pennington paused and sighed. A small sigh, but an audible one. He knew what was coming.
“I’m just not going there,” Pennington said when asked about the way the past two months unfolded. “Because it’s disrespectful, and I’d be doing a disservice to my teammates if I made this game about me and wanting to beat the Jets.”

It's the NY Post. They don't let facts get in the way of a good headline.
