I have been busy since Sunday but Chad seemed to get bounced around a bit vs. the Jets. He hasn't been the most durable QB the past few years.

I get some rumblings that he may be a bit beat up. Is Penny taking all the first team snaps this week and good to go on Sunday vs. Arizona?

Chad is a warrior. He will start Sunday.

No word on that, however during his post game interview he said he was fine and the only pain he had was in his chest. Passiionate player, always has been.

I believe he had a tongue injury but I don't think it's anything that will keep him out, I haven't heard anything else as far as injuries go, or missing snaps during practice.

i respect chad. i really do. he just doesnt have the arm 2 be a nfl qb but i hope im wrong. i just dont want ginn, ronnie and ricky 2 suffer from his weak arm

His arm is fine. I don't know where that came from, he can throw deep. It isn't how he plays his game. He's been a great game manager and the most accurate NFL passer. That to me qualifies someone to be an NFL QB. You don't need a great arm to win games.

in 2002 pennington was the best thing since sliced bread in my eyes.

but at this point in his career your injury concerns are valid.

both coles/cothery took a beating going after & catching floaters...

jetgreen, question, Since prior to his first injury is he the healthiest now then he has ever been? Is that what was being reported before you guys cut him? I heard this year he had almost all his arm strength back and is the strongest he has ever been post accident.

to be honest SG i heard no reports on any extra "zip" on the ball all training camp & i was hoping like hell i would. but no reports about not being locked & loaded...

OK thats why I asked because we have seen solittle play from so far and really dont have the history of observation that someone such as yourself has. TY much for sharing.

oh yeah good game also.Your guys looked good out there.

I have been watching Chad his whole career , since Marshall, he obviously does not have the arm now he had in 02, however this year is the best I have seen him throw since the surgeries. And remember he lead an 06 Jet team to the playoffs and played well. In 07, he tore his ankle up in the first game, we later find out he had 2 torn ligaments in his ankle, thats why he had the season he had last year, take a QB who's arm is suspect due to injuries and then take away his legs and then let him play and you get 07. In 08, if healthy he will do well. This past weekend he started slow, so did the whole team. He came on strong in the second half, to watch him play he made all the throws needed. I think everyone is making a bigger deal than what it is. I think if he couldnt make the throws he would not be in there. And yes, he is the most accurate passer in history, with QBs with over 1500 throws, comeon guys that speaks for itself. Dont judge Penne by what he did with the Jets and definetly dont listen to Jets fans, judge by what he does here. In 02 it was Henney's scheme that made him look so good and he is back in it now. Give him time and just watch him. Tell me one lame duck throw you saw this weekend, were the passes lasers? No, but did he throw a duck like the Favre TD pass, NO.

Actually that's not true. Dan Henning left the Jets after the 2000 season and was Carolina's O-coordinator in 2002... Paul Hackett was the Jets offensive co-ordinator after Henning left.

favre threw that "duck" after avoiding major pressure & then getting hit just before releasing the ball. plus it was 4 & 12 so the jets were facing a turnover on downs without a 1st...

or a TD...:D
