I know there are plenty of good things to say about Pennington as an NFL QB but he just doesn't throw the deep ball very hard. After watching the wildcat reverse pass to Cobbs I just had to say something... Henne throwing that ball or even White and it's a touchdown 100%, Pennington's pass wobbled in slowly and instead we got a field goal out of it...

His arm also doesn't complement Ginn's abilities at all as evidenced by some passes last year where Ginn had to TURN AROUND completely after he had his man beat to come back and get the ball...

Come on someone had to bring it up again after the wildcat play to Cobbs... he literally cost us 4 points with that throw

I hate to say this but i have to agree, Pennington's arm is not one bit stronger than before, to me if anything it seems a little weaker to me. I still think barring injury he continues to start for this team, and lead us to many victories. Penningtons strength is ball control, mistake free football, and he is absolutely one of the BEST at that.

Silence the critics!
Go Miami.

But with Henne already having sat a full 16 games it's starting to come to the point where it might be wiser to let him get some experience in live action... penny's arm is a big deal for us right now.. as usual

Who knows, if that ball was thrown with velocity and hit cobbs in stride maybe he doesn't make the catch. With penny's throw he had time to watch the ball in. Better chance of actually making the catch.

This is silly . . . u take the good with the bad. Yea Henne has a cannon . . . I rather have the leadership, accuracy and experience that Chad P brings . . . not to mention he may be the best QB in the league at game managing and ball control.

Pennington looked good last night . . . and he cranks that arm up every once in a while.

The real question is . . . do fans wanna risk a year of maybe missing the playoffs to get Henne some experience or go with the guy who is best suited to get us in the playoffs (Pennington) . . . I'm willing to be everybody would take Pennington if that is the situation . . . and those who wouldn't I don't believe.

I still think he makes up for it in a lot of ways though and I guess he has earned the start this year...

Not trying to make excuses for Penny, but the ball looked like it slipped coming out. As a prior QB I know that catching a pitch and trying to rush a pass, it can happen. The ball was a little wet too. Yes, his arm is not strong. I am talking this one single play it floated even more than usual beacause of the above mentioned IMHO.

Winning isn't enough! Yes pennington got us to the playoffs(then laid an egg) and he will get us to the playoffs this year probably too, but it's all about the super bowl and the ravens made it easily obvious that our offense is limited with CP in there. There is absolutely no vertical game with CP and the potential for the big-play is non-existent, yet we do have big play talent on this roster.

Yeah but did anyone notice how the ball got to cobbs on the money? Just because you have a big arm doesnt mean you can just make long plays. You have to have some accuracy...and I recommend Henne work on his accuracy..this is year 2
