People Doubting Feely.....

That pass to mamichael took no skill at all. mcmichael was WIDE OPEN. my grandma could have made that pass. he didnt even hit him in stride mcmiachael had to jump up for it or we would have been even closer to the endzone or would have scored on that play with a good pass. And when he did have time he still did horrible. like that beautiful pass he had to simmons. its to bad simmons is on the other team or feeley would have another touchdown pass. feeley threw as many interceptions for touchdowns as he threw for are team and the one for are team to chambers was a horrible pass by feeley. Feeley should have had about 7 interceptions in that game. he sucks and shouldnt be able to start for anyone.
While I agree he didn't play 'great', he is young, inexperienced, and had no time to throw to anyone.

He's also on an offense with a bunch of new guys (two less than a month!!)

He needs time.

And, lets face it...this is a rebuilding year whether anyone wants to admit it or not. So, it makes perfect sense for him to play, so we can see if he's got what it takes. You can't see him in a game and a half with an out of synch offense and just say 'he sucks'. Well...you can say it all you like, but that just doesn't make it true.

Oh...and I saw a couple of really good passes...one a laser to Chris Chambers in between two defenders. its been...oh about six years since I saw a fin QB do that. Can he do it all the time? I don't know...and neither does anyone else at this point because the offense is so out of whack that its impossible to tell.

I have seen fielder over throw mcMichael in that situation. In fact I have seen a lot of quarterbacks overthrow that ball.

It also seems to me that everytime the other team's cornerback touches the ball a lot of people here counts that as an interception. On the touchdown pass, there is no chance that guy could of intercepted the ball.

My calculations had Feeley with 2 interceptions dropped and one interception that should have been a catch. I know the pass was behind Booker, however an all-pro reciever makes that catch.

No QB would play well behind this oline. I do not care who it is.

That being said, I am not giving up hope that the oline will come together and learn to block better.

The ONLY series that Cinci did not blitz on like every down, was the one where we scored the TD. Give AJ time and he makes the pass. That is why he as good in Philly. We NEED this line to play better. IF that happens we will be fine. IF it does not happen this season, hopefully they learn and play good for next season.

What I don't understand is how the O-line regressed so badly in one week. I didn't see the Titans game, but clearly they played better against Tennessee. Or at least it seemed that way. Maybe Marvin Lewis just did a great job gameplanning to take advantage of what he saw in week one?

May I ask what game you were watching??? The pass on the drive for the TD, he hit McMike between two defenders, in stride. Fiedler would have hung that ball up and gotten Randy killed.

When he had time he was horrible?? Again, what the hell game were you watching? :shakeno:

I think thta you can say this yet, we need to see what he can do more tan one game, with this OL Jay probably the same bad, even can gain yard runing becouse the De of cinn was there.....

And I don´t want to see anymore what Jay can or can´t do, I all ready know... THis is gone be a long seson, and we need to give the chance to the New players and young players to grow together, and play beeter next seson, and I don´t want Jay playing the next seson, I still don´t giveup on AJ, is to soon to say this just win one game (his 1° start game for the fins) and with a patectic OL , I think we need to see him 4 or 5 games and then say if suck or he is good....

And is the sema with Gordon you couldn´t say that he is not very good RB with this OL

AGREED!!!! Go back and look at the TD pass to Chambers against the Bengals. Look at were he throws it, it should have been intercepted, and if it wasn't tipped.....no one would have caught it. The point is the pass was going no where, it was horrible.

Unfortunately, the TD gets him off the hook for now and no one seems to note "where the hell that pass was headed??!?!?" This guy doesn't have it. He has no poise and he's not a rookie so I don't understand why everyone is failing to see his shortcomings.

I'll throw my 2 cents in here and since Dave did say he would go with the 5 best linemen no matter what, what about this lineup:

McIntosh
James
Hadnot
McKinney
Carey

With St. Clair the top back up at both tackle spots.

Now we have the most aggressive line possible given our roster.

Because he's had 13 starts since high school and he's playing on a very inexperienced offense?

Why not keep playing him and let him get his ears wet before you say, "he ain't got it".

Fact is, no one knows whether 'he's got it' or not at this point, and we won't know anything until the offense comes together a little bit.

If you think Fiedler would have done better behind this line and without a running game, I would like to hear your justification for it!

I think everyone needs to remember that this is not a superbowl run year. This is a rebuilding year, and its better to see what this guy has than it is to bench him for Fiedler.

Your telling me that Chambers aka Superman still would not have caught that TD pass? C'om dude, the guy is a stud, I never thought he would catch that one amazing TD catch vs houston last year in the back of the end-zone....and those TD catch's against dallas? I was at that game, i couldn't believe my own eyes, and I was there, The guy is an amazing WR, trust me, he had fantastic concentration on that ball, he would have caught, no matter what:cooldude:

Wow....then I guess SF should NEVER have taken Steve Young, huh? After all, didn't he SUCK when he was in Tampa?

Think about it....

The problem is that DW doesn't know how to develop a QB. On one side of his mouth he tells him not to try to be a hero, and on the other side he makes a gameplan that makes Feeley win the game.

I agree, but I would have to switch Hadnot and McKinney. If Wise can get McKinney to point out blocking assignments at the line. If McKinney can't manage that then I say move McKinney to backup center and put St. Clair in at RG. Just my opinion. But you have the closest line setup that I would agree with so far.

-EDIT- Also of Carey struggles at RT then move him to RG and move St. Clair back out to RT. St. Clair has done a somewhat respectful job there, seeing as he is getting no help or communication from Whitley.
