Dolphins LB Kiko Alonso will not be suspended for his hit on Joe Flacco.

The news comes from NFL spokesperson Joe Lockhart. Alonso was penalized for hitting Flacco in the head with his forearm while the quarterback was sliding last Thursday night, and the league apparently felt that was punishment enough. Alonso will suit up this Sunday night against the Raiders.

Good. Didn't like the hit, but rewatching it was obvious Flacco's instincts had em sliding late to try and get to the first down marker.

Not much Kiko could do at that point....

As he shouldnt. Nothing about that hit warranted a suspension. Honestly shouldnt have even been a penalty.

He shouldn't be for going arm first into an active runner. So tired of the QB protection ****. What about the guy who blatantly hit Kiko after the play yet doesn't even get a penalty? I guess Suh will have to handle it on his own again next time.

You're right except for the cheap shot from the Ravens idiot. QBs should figure out a way to act like they're in a sliding motion the whole way down field. The NFL needs to end the ridiculous overprotection to the QB. Didn't help our guy when his knee got rolled up.

I just think if you dont want your head taken off you better make d*amn sure everyone knows you're sliding. He was trying to get a first and Kiko was trying to prevent that. flacco realized he wasn't going to make it too late and tried to get down. If you act like a runner you should get treated as one. Not "hey Im going to let you get as many yards as possible and then let you slide because I cant hit you." You leave the pocket and dont get down or get out of bounds Im knocking your a$$ out.
