Mario manningham will visit soon, he has three teams on radar, Miami, SF and bills, but the latter unlikely after meachem walked away fr buffalo because they didn't want to pay
 
If we can sign him at a reasonable price, I'll feel better about our WR situation, but ehhhh, I don't think he's going to turn out to be a legit #1. And it's not like we're signing Eli to throw him the ball.
 
dont really want him. buffalo can have him. great catch in super bowl though. big money moocher.
 
He would probably benefit from Manning throwing it to him (Peyton not Eli)....I firmly believe that Manning is still coming to Miami. Think about it, he hasn't eliminated the Dolphins because he wants to drive up the price Ross is willing to pay. We already know Ross said he would do just about anything to get Manning. Supposedly Manning's two top choices are NOT Miami. So Miami goes and investigates bringing in Flynn making it public that they negotiated. Both sides are suddenly extremely quiet and it's because they are both playing hardball until a deal gets done

I agree that it is still a strong possibility, regardless of what reports are saying. Manningham would only increase that possibility. If we could get Manning, Manningham, and #1 in the draft, and a lineman, I think we'll be ok. Would still like to see a te and a safety too.
 
Some of you are acting like this guy can't help the team. Total BS. Especially in the situation our wide receiver depth is in. Mario Manningham signs with Miami Dolphins. That sounds good to me.

at this point i agree.nothing to lose everything to gain.
 
He would be okay as the #2 receiver to replace Hartline, but they would still need a #1 receiver.

Ross doesn't have as much money as Denver or Tennessee does.
 
We really do not need an "alpha WR" in this new offense. If we signed Laurent Robinson and Manningham that would be outstanding. A lot of reliable weapons with various skill sets. Spread defenses out and force them into mismatches. Its what teams do now. One stud WR is easy to shut down unless you're like Calvin Johnson.
