After New Orleans escaped a comeback from the Falcons I have a knot in my stomach about the possibility of the Saints going undefeated in the regular season. 2 weeks in a row the Saints have been able to overcome turnovers and mistakes to score 35+ or more and win.

Remaining schedule for the Saints:

Carolina Panthers
St. Louis Rams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New England Patriots
Washington Redskins
Atlanta Falcons
Dallas Cowboys
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carolina Panthers

We can only hope that the Patriots and Cowboys can knock them off. But the other opponents they face will end up with Brees dropping 7 TDs in each game.

i doubt they go undefeated. They have weaknesses on their team, so far dolphins have been closes to putting it all together to beat them. In addition their starting to win games by less points, it's gonna happen soon!

in anyone of those games Bress twistes an ankle is out for the game and they can lose, but yea i get ur point they really have a chance of going 16-0

cold day in hell before I root for the Pats to beat them. I would prefer the Saints to go undefeated. Honestly, I get tired of hearing about it every year

Well, if the Dolphins' defense had just done its job when they were up by three touchdowns at home, this wouldn't be a problem. Not to mention the fact that we could have also taken down Indy who have just rattled off 7 in a row. And our own season would be in a lot better shape too.

That said, why worry about it? I'm 35 and only once in my lifetime has a team made it undefeated through the regular season (and they ended up losing in the end). It's highly unlikely that either one of these teams makes it through unscathed.

Still, it's not an unassailable record. It can (and probably will) be broken someday.

well u dont go undefeated until u acutally cap it off with the superbowl win as we learned with the pats. that being said, as weird as this sounds, i think the saints r a tiny bit overated. good offense? yes, but there d is a little shaky. i think if they can get through the nfc playoffs, i still think if they played a team like indy, pitt, or maybe even us in the superbowl[ already bet a friend 200 dollars if we somehow make the superbowl and we play the saints since hes a saints fan] or any team can beat them. dont be worried about them going undefeated because they wont win the superbowl and thats the only way it actually counts or else there would have already been another undefeated team in the 2007 pats.

Falcons will beat them the 2nd time around. I guarantee it.

I'm not really too concerned about it. The patriots were a lot scarier when they took a run at it, but lost in the super bowl... Even if it does happen, at least it's not the Patriots or the Jets doing it. That would hurt so much more.

Being from New Orleans, you should see how crazy this place is right now. I hope they do go undefeated and win the super bowl. The city deserves it.

...and how in the HELL would you pull for the Patriots to win anything???

The Saints aren't what they're hyped up to be. The refs just gave them 2 games in a row.

As long as they beat the pats I dont care if they win every game or lose the rest. 17-0 is history and at some point a team is going to do the same. If it means them beating the Pats for us having a better shot at the division title so be it ill take it!!

wow.....thats quite an easy schedule. the pats obviously have the best chance...after that i don't see much of a challenge for the saints there.
