This kid is rising quick, and is the type of wr we need. I like him a lot. some have him in top 15 now

We might have a new player in the mix at 14...would love to get more than 2 games of tape of his though. Skillset wise it's exactly what we're looking for, size and downfield speed.

He doesn't have great hands which is a big concern to me. Just for context Josh Norris tweeted he had 7 drops on 54 catchable passes…which is a 12.96% drop rate….thats kind of terrible. Some players can overcome it with big play ability but Im not sure I would be willing to count on that. Kelvin Benjamin comes to mind as someone who drops a ton of passes but is still successful because he makes extremely touch catches and is a monster in the red zone.

Don't get me wrong there are aspects of his game I like but I wouldn't touch it at 14..

Kelvin Benjamin also gives up on routes a lot or just runs bad routes. He cost Cam Newton a few INTs this year because of his route running. I would credit at least 3 INTs to Benjamin either due to running the wrong route or just giving up and stopping his route when Cam was throwing to a spot and Benjamin wasn't there.

I only watched Perriman a couple of days ago. He shows good effort on every play...willing downfield blocker, looks strong as an ox on tape...but he also doesn't look like a natural pass catcher. Some of his catches just look awkward.

As a general rule I prefer to stay away from WRs who have problems catching the ball.

he fights the football like da beard fights a girls zipper

he definitely fights the ball when catching, and seems to not have constant focus as well. very thick big body though... definitely looks like his father a bit whomever mentioned that. He seems to me to be an average prospect coming out all in all.

i didnt know he has risen into the 1st round... where are they stating he will be selected?

The only Perryman that should go in the first round is Denzel Perryman from the U. No way you take Breshad Perriman in round one. There are half a dozen WR's I would take before him.

This is a weird WR class, it's pretty deep, as far number of draft able WRs that will go in the first 2-3 rnds, it probably will beat last years draft.

But last years class had better talent and were much more polished.

This years class is quite raw, and quite sloppy, and of the sloppy WRs id probably take perriman over guys like Coates or Funchess, or any if the other ones.

Right around what Cooper's drop rate was at, but no one seems to talk about that.

I've had the same zipper for a few years now, think I've mastered it!

I think this is a very accurate statement. This class is sort of a pick your poison and hope for the best. From what I've watched of Perriman I like, he seems like a more polished Coates to me.

I like perriman, but not in the first round. If he were to go in the top-15 he would be either the second or third receiver off the board and I just can't see that happening.

.

Maybe not around here but thats one major reason why I lot of people have White as the #1 receiver. Cooper is also just a vastly superior player…Im much less concerned about him compensating for his drops. I mentioned Kelvin Benjamin earlier, not because he reminds me of how Perriman plays, but rather because he was a WR many questioned due to his drops. He has turned out alright so far…maybe Perriman will as well…but its a major concern to note if you're talking about a 1st round pick.

quite raw and quite sloppy is right...and quite high bust potential...
