I SEE VIKINGS FANS STILL HAVE THEIR BITE. From Drew of Florence, Ala.:

"You say Daunte Culpepper is "in his prime." That's what you call a guy coming off a season where he had a 6-to-12 TD-to-INT ratio in only seven games? I'm continually amazed at the free pass Miami has been getting for this move. That knee injury was the best thing that ever happened to big Daunte. Now that's the story (the injury comeback), instead of the fact that last year he was completely exposed for what he is: a chucker who throws 12 picks in half a season without Randy Moss. Am I the only one that thinks about these things?''

I should hope you are, Drew. It wasn't Moss alone who accounted for Culpepper's 64 touchdowns (vs. 24 interceptions) the previous two years. A year from now you'll be begging for Culpepper to return.

This makes me think of High School when I say "boof!"

oh viking fans, lol. that just won't let it go

You're right. Brad Childress has rubbed off on them or maybe its the other way around. They just can't let go. lol.

your right, they cant and wont let it go. if they arent with the vikes anymore they are trash to most of the fans, i still get harrassed sometimes when i go on the kfan website.(rube website but this is still better) although i usually start it by saying how the dolphins will actually enjoy having a good qb, or something to that effect...but its nice seeing peter king giving daunte some love

Who did they pick with the Culpepper 2nd rounder?

with the #51st overall pick (from Miami) they drafted Ryan Cook C from New Mexico

I'm happy that Brad Johnson will probably blow up in their face. I'm unhappy that Tarvaris Jackson looks like he could have been an excellent find. I'd be much happier if Minnesota wallowed in a QB curse for a decade.

I agree with you CK. I hope your theory plays out exactlly. I love that they think Johnson is the better quarterback. It's simply hilarious!

I think that was really Brad Childress under an assumed name and email sending bad tidings to King.....

Either way this season is very likely to give some Vikings fans a bit of sellers' remorse. Daunte may not have a fantastic 2004 type year but he's still going to have a good year...and so will Miami.

Minnesota will have a very challenging year. Let Brad Johnson face an actual good team, and then let his defense lay down and die like they did while Daunte was playing in 2005. THEN we'll talk.

Chris Chambers can do a pretty good Randy Moss imitation. If that's what he needs then I feel comfortable with that as well.

Yeah, but he forgot to mention how Daunte's rehab was going to suck because of how he's been rehabbing at an old boxing gym doing exercises in a wal-mart parking lot, etc.

Yeah Brad, Daunte's rehab sure has been slow...not like he's played in every preseason game and taken every snap of training camp or anything...

Yep. They will soon lose all hopes once the see who the real quarterback was. Again, I agree with all your points CK.
