He's been saying this for a while, but from today's MMQB:

7. I think Drew Brees will end up in Miami, as I've thought for a while. Great fit, too. I'm not saying New Orleans was a stalking horse in the deal, but if the horseshoe fits, wear it.

I kind of think the same thing--Brees wants to play for Miami, but is using New Orleans to force our price up. Smart negotiating, but it doesn't sound like we're going to raise our price to meet their offer. I think Saban is banking on Brees wanting to be in Miami more than New Orleans.

King also said there would be no CBA agreement. If we all kept track of when this guy, and other "experts" were wrong, we wouldn't even listen to them anymore regarding items such as this.

Or maybe people need to just stop taking the word of these journalists and "experts" as gospel, period. At the end of the day, a lot of what they say is just their opinion or thoughts, just like everyone here. The only difference is they are privy to some "inside" info from time to time, but guess what? The people they get their info from are often just speculating or giving their opinion too. For example, look at Boomer. Everyone always wants to be reassured, so the other day when his source said that Brees would definitely sign with Miami when Saban and Mueller flew to Alabama to meet him, everyone here hung their hat on it. Then you have people asking Boomer for percentages on how likely it was that the Dolphins would get certain players. Honestly, how can he know any better than most other people?

They are never always right or always wrong. Everything should be taken with a huge grain of salt, but most people here are desperately wanting some tidbit of positive info to latch onto for dear life and just accept.

according to espn right now, Brees will make his announcement this afternoon as to where he plays next season

Hmm. Brees is still in Miami? Practise facility setting up a PC and the media is setting up cameras and what not? Hmmm....

Can anybody tell me how much we're offering? Shame on me for not even knowing. I know NO is offering 10 mil a year.

I agree 100%. Im not fond of Peter King as it is because he was always a Marino basher....not to mention the "Holier than thou" attitude he has. He's often wrong regardless

If thats the case, and Saban doesn't bite on throwing our entire bankroll on him, and he signs with us anyway, then Saban will be the MASTER!!

We're rumored to be offering about $7 million in signing bonus, a small base salary with lots of incentives if he's able to play. If he can't come back from the injury, it's a one-year contract. San Diego did the same thing except with $2 million guaranteed and New Orleans is offering around $10 million.
