Peterson re-injures collarbone in bowl game. (Link)

I hope this is not true as it severely hurts our chances of getting Quinn. I am desperately hoping for Quinn as we need to draft a franchise QB. :boohoo:

Yea, that is not good - besides that article, Don Banks from CNN has another saying the following:

league source told me the Browns "are locked in'' on taking Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn in their No. 3 slot. Cleveland will bypass Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson, even though the Browns signed ex-Ravens rusher Jamal Lewis to just a one-year deal.
While Cleveland owner Randy Lerner has been in favor of Quinn for a while now, Browns general manager Phil Savage is now said to be firmly on board with the pick, even though he and head coach Romeo Crennel are entering a potentially pivotal third season running the organization. In some ways, drafting Quinn, a rookie franchise quarterback, buys Savage and Crennel more time to turn around the Browns' flagging fortunes.

I'd say if the Peterson injury is true there is no way Brady slips by Cleveland. Our only shot would be Oakland taking Johnson and then Cleveland Russell. Anyway, just a couple of more days to go. I can't wait either as this is affecting my sleep and work production!

What are the thoughts of our resident expert's, Mr. CK and Boomer, on this issue???

You People Dont Get It If Quin Get Drafted He Needs At Least 2 Or More Years To Get Things In Order Miami D Is Not Young Players The Age Is Up There So By The Time Q. Gets It Together D Would Be Done.ted Ginn Jr Gives The Best Chance Now.

It's almost like morse code.

First how bad could it be....he did everything at the combine except lift weights. He had a 38.5" verticle...can you imagine if his collar bone was bad...him reaching...never mind running....every step would feel like a knife going in....he couldn't use his hands up high to catch passes...I think this is one of those times that a story is made up to hurt him...so he'll drop....the teams that did their homework on him will know the real deal.

I wonder when exactly the Browns found out about this injury? I'm wondering, do you think this would be the reason for the Jamal Lewis signing as a stopgap while Peterson heals up/learns the ropes?

Right. The D will be done, unless of course we consistently Replenish each year with guys like Crowder.:shakeno:

I'm not sold on Ginn. I could be wrong, but I'm just not sold on him and would rather draft someone else at a different position. :2c:

Right but how many C.Crowder each year will end up like crowder?
