Peyton Manning Analyzes Josh Rosen Pre- Snaps

Can someone explain what Manning meant by "batted balls should be banned"? Couldn't tell if it was a joke/banter. Was he suggesting defence can try to intercept but shouldn't be allowed to intentionally swat a ball?
Definitely joking, Peyton has a great sense of humor. I was hoping he would take the Monday Night Football gig, he would be fun to watch

Preposterous. One of the most preposterous comments I have ever seen here. I can't believe you got anybody to agree with it. That demonstrates the hatred and therefore lack of clear thinking regarding the Patriots, and nothing more.

New England has not been a dominant team. Brady makes them a dominant team.

The league is so balanced in terms of manpower and coaching and common draft and salary cap there is no way you can simply cha-ching one title after another, as you suggest. Winning basically 1/3 of the time in that span is an absolutely remarkable achievement. Other quarterbacks would have fallen short of that, not exceeded it.

I'll take my chances on big picture logic like that and allow you guys to rely on bitter Happy Adjustment.

LOL...whatever.

If he weren't allowed to slowly become a great QB (which took many years, a luxury most don't get), he'd never be what he is today. He was allowed to do this at least partially via cheating. When you have 100% full time helmet communications, you don't think that provides an enormous advantage? Talk about adjustment, ignoring this hahaha. He was a VERY disciplined game manager early on, and I'm not faulting that whatsoever...but he wasn't anything NEAR what he is today. No flashes of singular greatness early on (which all the big time QBs do). He is now an elite, all-time QB, who takes care of his body FAR better than any QB in history it would seem, but he doesn't ever get that chance w/o the Pats cheating their asses off...don't care if you can let his jewelry distract you from that fact.

Preposterous is ignoring the blatant, repeated, busted cheating over the years (and I'm not talking about deflated balls, that's kid stuff).

For many years, he didn't make them a dominant team. He does now. The discipline with which Belicheat runs that team allows them to be what they are. The cross-training of positions. The "do your job or you're out of this league" mentality. THAT'S what carried them until Brady became elite.

In the end, I have my opinion and you have yours...and neither can be concretely "proven." But given the same scenario and atmosphere, somebody with Aaron Rodgers' skill and abilities would have done even better than Marcia...just an opinion, don't care what you think of it.
