is an overrated and immature football player...

Did anyone hear his comments from the Pro Bowl?

Talking about the idiot kicker who got licquored up.
Come on...Peyton...how about being a team leader and moving past it.

The reality is that Peyton Manning can go to 15 Pro Bowls...he still hasn't won a darn thing...

and he probably never will.

Sorry, I am sure that everybody loves Peyton...so I am sure that I will get bashed for this post.

We went over this already in another thread. He was upset about what the 'idiot kicker' said to him so he fought back. Just like the Oakland Raider O-Line did agianst Barret Robbins when he went and got drunk. It happens all the time you just dont hear much about it, he will improve and win more games hes still young.

The kicker called him out, all he was doing is answering. Who would u take manning or vanderjact. It really doesnt matter, just shows that you shouldnt run your mouth unless you are a real football player. Kickers never have and never will be leaders in todays NFL.

I think manning just wanted to show him what being disrespected feels like, and Payton did it on national TV.

I went over and checked out a Colts messageboard and the posters all pretty much are in agreement that Peyton needs to shut up and let his play do the talking. Many of them agree with Vanderjagoff, and I also read somewhere that "sources" are saying that many Colt players share the opinion of the idiot kicker. My guess is the "idiot" will be running his mouth and "getting liquored up" in a different uni next year. I almost fell on the ground when I heard Opie running smack yesterday. Too funny.

I happen to be one of the people who agree with Vanderjact. Peyton and Dungy are both to passive. Just like Wannstedt...wait no...Wannstedt is more of a "I believe in my system, even though it hasn't worked in three years" kind of idiot.

Remember the old saying. "The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result."

By that account, Dave Wannstedt is insane.

That definitely was not the "Manning" answer you were expecting. Maybe he was just showing the "idiot kicker" that he can be passionate about something. Who would you rather have on your team, Vanderwho or Manning.

If Manning didn't say anything then he would have been the "Idiot Quarterback" for not standing up for himself and his teammates and saying anything.

I'm not really defending Vanderjagt...

I just think that Manning shows a total lack of maturity and leadership on and off the field.

I think he is the most overpublicized player...

perhaps in the entire NFL.

Ehhhhhhhhh, I dont know about that one (being the most overpublicized)

I have a lot of respect for Manning and have been a big fan since his days of Tennesee. He's much like Zach Thomas was in his first few years. He's quiet, soft spoken, leads by example, and is a student of the game. He respects the game and plays it all out. That is why the media loves him, he's a high profile player who is a class act.

I can see how Manning's response could be viewed as immature but what was he suppose to do? He wa between a rock and a hard place. Say nothing and you're a punk who got dissed by a KICKER. That is worse then saying what he said.

Whether you agree with the substance of Vanderjact said or not, he was wrong for calling out Manning and Dungy publicly.
