PFF Dolphins grade through week 3

Not sure what you're watching bro, but Bethel always balls out for us. He's always making plays, he definitely grades well....

However eich hasn't looked that bad, nor AJ, Lamm, Hill, Sieler....very odd scores considering how well the team has played, certainly doesn't appear to the eyes that they should be so lowly graded....seems like bias to me.

Eich sux and needs to be replaced soon, but he's not that bad imo...
Oh I like Bethel as a depth player. He made some plays last year too. It’s the ranking of “blank” out of “all players” that throws me off. But Brumdog explained it pretty well. If you’re 11th out of 80 it doesn’t equate to “11th best” really at all. You might be but it’s really not what the PFF score is trying to say.

I think you need to rewatch that part of the game yesterday if you think Eich was anything less than atrocious

They are using all-22 video and multiple camera angles. In turns of turning them out fast, I would say it isn't as fast as you think. Actual play time in an NFL game sees the ball in play for 11 minutes. Results are released mid day Monday which is 21 hours after the early Sunday games -- when the bulk of games -- are played. They have 60 or so analysts grading games; if two are assigned to a game, that gives them 12 hours (give them 9 hours for sleep/uploading/checking data) to score the 11 minutes of action.
Is that new? Because I've seen grades being posted within a couple hours of the game ending before.

I don't care how a player gets to the quarterback -- speed rush is just as effective for some guys as who bowl over tackles. Phillips has 16 sacks three games into his third season. Jason Taylor had 16.5 sacks....at the end of his third season.

In terms of Phillips sacks being coverage sacks, the past two years the Dolphins haven't been a good coverage team so I'd say him getting sacks at a decent rate is pretty good.

Yea. A good speed rush is effective. He doesn’t have a good speed rush. He just has speed.

Don’t get it twisted though. I think Phillips is solid. I’m not saying he’s terrible. I just don’t nor have seen this special player people always claim him to be. He has not been good this year by any stretch. But as already pointed out, I’m sure it’s just a bad couple games and will rebound.

My eyes aren’t lying to me. Howard has been terrible.

Not sarcasm at all. Surprised how many people they have doing manual review
From their explanation of how the scores are graded, they have over 600 full or part time analysts but less than 10% of those have been trained to the point of where they can grade plays. Sounds like they employ a lot of former coaches, players, and scouts.

After the plays have been graded, they are spot checked by what they call 'senior analysts', of which about 2 to 3% of their analysts fit.

Some people refuse to see Eichenberg as he truly is, a future insurance salesman stealing money and a roster spot. If Grier hadn’t spent 2 day two picks on the guy he’d been cut a long time ago.he literally offers us nothing since he can’t even snap the ball. Couple that with all the time he spent on the ground or being pushed backwards and the 29.2 actually seems a little too high.

I was hoping for a full season of him never seeing the field. Those hopes have already been dashed. He’s Dallas Thomas-level incompetent. Any time he is on the field, the risk level for our QB skyrockets.

Yup all this “I trust in McD and Grier” stuff is fine, but Eichenberg is what he is, a ticking time bomb for this offense. All the trust and praise goes out the window if and when he costs us games.

Didn't we have a lot of posters "lambasting" our RB situation and how desperately we needed a guy named "Cook"? What a bunch of "Lemmings".

I bet they are still finding fault with this team. - LOL
In fairness to those, we didn't have any 350 yard performances to change that narrative.
