I think Minkah's grade is BS. If he was on another team, it would be much higher.

PICK NO. 8: ROQUAN SMITH, CHICAGO BEARS 2018 SEASON GRADE: 63.0 Following a rough Week 7 performance, the Bears’ first-round pick was a standout performer against the New York Jets in Week 8. The majority of his work came against the run, where he produced two defensive stops, but he was also productive in coverage, where he tallied another defensive stop and allowed only 14 yards on three catches.

PICK NO. 11: MINKAH FITZPATRICK, MIAMI DOLPHINS 2018 SEASON GRADE: 67.9 Fitzpatrick was at his very best in Week 8 against the Texans, and while he may have left the stadium with a loss, he did manage to leave it with his highest-grade to date. The Dolphins’ first-round defensive back was dominant in all facets on Thursday night, picking up two solo tackles and a defensive stop in run defense and allowing just one catch for six yards from his two targets in coverage. Through eight weeks, Fitzpatrick has allowed a passer rating of just 48.1 as a slot cornerback, which is the second-best mark in the league among qualifying players at the position.

PICK NO. 16: TREMAINE EDMUNDS, BUFFALO BILLS 2018 SEASON GRADE: 47.1 The Bills’ first-round pick eventually left his game with a concussion, but by the time he left the game, the damage was already done. Edmunds was taken advantage of early and often in coverage, as Tom Brady and the New England Patriots targeted him 13 times, which resulted in 11 catches for 129 yards. There were some good plays, as Edmunds tallied seven tackles and a pass breakup on the night, but overall – not his finest hour.

PICK NO. 17: DERWIN JAMES, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS 2018 SEASON GRADE: 82.8 James ended his Week 7 game against the Titans with a game grade of just 58.9 – his lowest single-game grade to date. He did produce six solo tackles and two defensive stops, but he also missed two tackles and allowed five catches from five targets for 64 yards into his primary coverage. After a very uncharacteristic outing, James will look to get back on track in Week 9, after his team’s bye week.

Think that's about right tbh, he's not a superstar yet, he's been poor on occasion, but good on others, there aren't too many highlight plays (which is basically how these things are graded) and he's the right side of average, absolutely nothing to be concerned about and one of the least of our worries. Still makes probably the 2nd best 1st round pick (best being Tunsil) in recent memory, very low bar though.

Ive Watched every rep of Edmunds..very happy we didn’t select him.

PFF doesn’t grade on highlight plays.

I think most people have a big misunderstanding on how PFF works. They grade every individual player on every individual play.

For example, if a WR comes away with 3 catches for 120 yards and 3 TDs, it looks like a good game. But if he got shut down on every other play in the game, he’s gonna walk away with a poor PFF grade

I agree, just another attempt to generate clicks by rating the big market teams the highest … I wonder when the sheep will learn … if ever?

So we have practically the best slot corner in the league....and another one who's paid like it.

LVE has pleasantly surprised me. Would of been considered a reach at 11 back then, but would of been perfect too for the Dolphins.

LB with quality instincts and the athletic profile of an elite pass rusher - he only would have been considered a reach because people don't know what they're looking at/what to look for.
