Dolphins:

— Miami cornerback Will Davis picked off as many passes as he allowed, hauling in a pair of interceptions while giving up two catches on seven balls into his coverage.

— Getting in for 11 snaps of late-game run defense, linebacker Spencer Paysinger logged four tackles, including two consecutive plays that qualified as defensive stops.

— Looking for a bright spot in the Dolphins’ otherwise forgettable QB play on Thursday, McLeod Bethel-Thompson performed well when pressured. On six dropbacks with the rush closing in, he ran once and was sacked once, but completed all four of the throws he managed to get off.

Top Performers:

C Sam Brenner (+3.9)

LB Spencer Paysinger (+2.7)

CB Will Davis (+1.3)

LB Chris McClain (+1.2)

DT DeAndre Coleman (+1.0)

Davis makes you nervous as heck! He's either giving up 1st downs, making an interception or getting beat deep. That's it!

Great great we have Brenner on the practice squad for depth.

And to think people here were saying Davis was getting burned all night Thursday. Gave up two completions in seven challenges. This is why you can't trust what some people think they see. Myself included. We as fans often have warped perceptions.

Sam Brenner was a surprise cut

I refer to that as the Jason Allen Syndrome.

Yep, tons of talent, confidence, and can make plays. Also lacking the fundamentals and gets beat when those are forgotten.

Agree, hope we don't need to see him active though.

Allen was more athlete less ballhawk than Will Davis. It doesn't hurt to keep those ball skills on the roster right now. With Taylor on the mend, this team needs some experience at the position.

I didnt see the first pick by davis my dvr cut out for a sec due to weather but that second pick isnt even worth talking about...to throw that ball vs that coverage by glennon is clown shoes

Davis nickname is pitch and catch...he will get you killed by competent qb play...i only hope we dont have to play him...he will give up the sticks on repeat vs guys that play on sunday...gonna take a bad qb not to torch him

He always arrives after the ball...doesnt matter what route it is...iso that to death

His first pick was great defense, he was close his man the entire way and made a great play on the ball to out jump the WR

Davis's technique was impeccable on both int, his technique is amazing to watch. He is a tad late at times and misses but that will come with reps, he's missed a lot of time.

His technique is called cushion...plays with it everywhere...pre post injury...

Man to man im murdering it as an oc if you play it...better play zone and of course then theres the tackling concerns after the catch
