1. Patrick Mahomes — Kansas City Chiefs
3. Lamar Jackson — Baltimore Ravens
11. Josh Allen — Buffalo Bills
12. Joe Burrow — Cincinnati Bengals
32. Dak Prescott — Dallas Cowboys
35. C.J. Stroud — Houston Texans
43. Jalen Hurts — Philadelphia Eagles
51. Justin Herbert — Los Angeles Chargers
52. Matthew Stafford — Los Angeles Rams
55. Brock Purdy — San Francisco 49ers
58. Jordan Love — Green Bay Packers

Its an ok list. At this point I would take Tua over a few of those QB's but its popularity contest and Tua isn't winning any of those right now. Jalen Hurts 43 <----- lol.

Let's see if Tua makes the list put out by the NFL Network and NFL.com. It's amazing how a player can consistently get bashed, out play the low expectations of media members and still get bashed even more when the next cycle starts.

Thanks for posting.

I like Stroud, but the guy has played one year. It was a good year for a rookie, but 35th best player in the league?

That's why I can't take these types of things seriously. There's no clearly defined criteria and no context.

So weird to me. Would anyone building a team from scratch start with Maxx Crosby (#9) over Josh Allen (#11)?

Stoud is prob where he should be though honestly. I agree it's early in his carrer to be this high but it's probably accurate.

Tua should be in the 30's as well.

No but you have to put the position aside for this ranking. Crosby is the definition of elite. Bosa and Garrett are better DE's as well than Allen is a QB.

The positions just skew your thought process.

Which is what makes it such a weird exercise. Without any sort of criteria, what does top even mean here?

Not trying to be argumentative, I just dislike lists like this that appear to be entirely subjective.

Edit: It would have been nice to see a breakdown of how the staff voted.

Edit 2: Thanks for posting it.

This isn’t voted by the players

Its just the best overall players, not weighted for position. Otherwise the top 20 is littered with QBs.

Myles Garrett and Nick Bosa are betters player than every QB in the NFL not named Mahomes but if your talking about value, they wouldn't go ahead of a lot of QB's.

So you gotta ignore the position. Don't think about it in terms of value.

Which probably makes it better. The players rankings are baffling sometimes.

Players know a lot about their teammates and the players they face but they don't have a strong grasp for the league as a whole IMO. Some do but by and large I doubt a lot of them spend as much time as fans like us obsessing over the league.

I totally get it, man. I’d have preferred some criteria and the ability to see each writer’s vote.

It will be interesting to compare this to the NFL player’s vote on the Top 100 when that is released next week.

I wouldn't really argue much with the list. Tua at #12 among QBs feels a bit low, but there are merits for every QB ranked higher than him. He could easily bubble up into the top 5 just like any of those guys 6-11 ahead of him. They all have their merits.

When Tua is on, he really is in the top 3. Once he a playoff win or two under his belt it will be far more difficult to justify placing him out of the top 10.

Let’s trade Tyreek and tua for tee Higgins and Joe burrow
