Dolphins CB Vontae Davis hasn't been getting a lot of national attention, but he was noticed by Vikings QB Brett Favre: "Twenty-one, I felt like is one of the best corners in this league, especially that nobody knows about," Favre said. "Twenty-one, I was less apt to challenge."
Favre instead challenged CB Jason Allen, who picked off two of Brett's passes.
Miami LT Jake Long was able to neutralize DE Jared Allen, despite Allen's MMA training; "Yeah, but he can't do that on the field," Long said. "I'm happy about that."
Though RB Ronnie Brown couldn't duplicate Tony Dorsett's 99-yard touchdown run at the Metrodome, a 51-yard burst got the Dolphins out of very bad field position; "If I was just a little bit faster," Brown said. "I was close. Real close. Real, real close."
As Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald points out, the Dolphins kept the Vikings out of the end zone on five trips inside the 27.
