HUIZENGA PLANE CAUSE BUZZ IN 'BURGH

We've received alerts from several readers that the private jet of Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga landed in Pittsburgh on Saturday afternoon. The jet shown in that link is "N737WH," which based on the paint job is either owned by Huizenga or by someone who really likes the Dolphins.

Since Friday, the plane has gone from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlanta to San Diego to Chicago to Pittsburgh. As of this posting, it is en route from Pittsburgh to Ft. Lauderdale.

Though the visit to Pittsburgh is prompting speculation that Huizenga was meeting either with former Steelers coach Bill Cowher or Steelers chairman Dan Rooney to seek permission to court Coach Chin, it appears that Huizenga was in town to interview Steelers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt.

Published reports indicate that the Fins were set to interview Whisenhunt on Saturday. The session had been scheduled for Miami, but it appears that the location was changed.

Yea, they said on channel 7 that Huizenga met with Whisenhunt and took him out to dinner, it wasn't for Cowher

Wayne H in the Burgh

Hey guys, Rob from Chicago here. One of the guys at Stillers.com, a site I am on (I am a Steelers fan), uncovered this story earlier tonight.

He is a pilot and was doing some research when he uncovered it.

Do you think it was to interview Whis (who was in ATL yesterday), or do you think he is talking shop with the Rooney's about compensation for Cowher?

Whisenhunt. We simply need our picks too much to let go of them. ANY...of them..

Frankly, Cowher is gone, and we need to move on. If anyone is willing to back the Brinks truck and may him reconsider "family time" we will galdly take compensation...Who knows, with the Dallas debacle tonight, Parcells might retire and Jerry Jones will pony up.

It's definitely to interview the wiz.

The thing that scares me about Whisenhunt is he coached under Mularkey and He would most likely keep Mularkey here as his offensive coordinator
