PFT mock draft 4/24/09

Ive warmed up to Kenny Briit even though I prefer Nicks.

Nicks seems safer to me and just a better fit. Is Britt that much better than Brandon London in terms of a tall speed receiver? I don't know.

I would be stoked to get either Britt or Hakeem Nicks. Its funny, in 2007 everyone wanted us to draft Brady Quinn, not a Wideout, now we are all screaming for a WR. I do think Hakeem Nicks is way better a talent then ted ginn was though.

Well not to seem like Mr Know it all but yes he is much better.

Well if we had drafted Ginn at 25 I would not have minded although I like Britt and Nicks better than Ginn.

i really dont want a wr at 25, but if we're going to take one, it better be Nicks....Britt makes me think of that guy they called stone hands from Necessary Roughness.

Hard to call this kid hands of stone when he caught 87 passes for 1371 yds...and he's just 20 years old. In his freshman and junior seasons he caught a total of 149 passes for 2600 yds. To give you an comparison...Ted Ginn in college, his three years collected 135 passes for 1943 yds 15 TD's. Kenny Britt in his three years collected 178 passes for 3043 yds and 17 TD's...Ginn was taken in what round and where?

Gin was drafted by who? are they still currently employed here?

Well I do remember this board being all abuzz about how the 2007 draft would be a historic dolphin draft. No team could cover Booker and Ginn.
This draft would reshape our franchise. Well that last part was right lol.
I hated the draft and was labeled an idiot I dont dispute Im an idiot but this was my one moment of clarity lol

I've been called far worse...and never liked Ginn at the pick the Dolphins selected him.

Its just the fact that Ginn has no defined role yet. I think you will begin to warm up to the fact of ginn being the guy we drafted at #9, though it was probably a huge reach for him. He showed definite improvement last year and I think he will continue to grow into a well groomed receiver.

I accept you cannot lament that you took a guy too high but I hope for the best and I think he will be a solid NFL player. I still like Deseasn Jackson as a player more.

I think Nicks is the best WR in the draft. Put him in Texas Tech's offense and he would have amazing numbers. He played at UNC and still threw up great numbers. His speed is fine, he gets open and catches everything near him with those huge hands of his. His run after the catch is awesome, and I noticed he has a great stiff arm.

IMO, if they are going to take a WR in round 1 it has to be Nicks. Otherwise go CB or LB.
