PFT: NFL says Roethlisberger lateral was legal

How about the receiver moving before the snap? I'm guessing since it was against us, that was legal as well?

Am I the only one who thinks there wasn't enough there to say it was a forward pass? I think the play would have stood as well.

I just think that if the dt would have stood, I would have seriously believed there were some type of hex on this team.

It could have won the game yes we get it, but he stepped out of bounds. On to the Pats now.

whatever we won. the offense wasn't set, nobody can tell me it wasn't a forward pass, and the dumb ass stepped out. we won so don't care

It's legal to pad Big Ben's passing stats - any yards after his initial pass - before the false lateral - count towards his yard total.

That lateral was about as legal as his scrum fumble ended with an early whistle in 2010. Eat my d***, Squealers.

who cares. A win is a win. We win, move on to the Patriots. This is the biggest game we will be in all year...we win this, we should win out. We lose this, our playoff chances go downhill. Gah I hate the Patsies.

The reason they came out publicly with that is because they do not want to have the feeling that most of the refereeing crews in the NFL are incompetent. A fact that most of the discerning fans know. Even worse would be that most of the refs are on the take.
