CARROLL-TO-CHARGERS COMING?
We've gotten an uncorroborated tip from one of our friends in the media regarding the possibility that the San Diego Chargers will immediately target USC coach Pete Carroll if, as has been reported, Marty Schottenheimer is fired on Monday.​


It's PFT LOL but interesting, considering everything he just went through talking to Huizenga.

Whoops meant to put a question mark in the title if a mod want's to fix it.​

Pete Carroll made a "sabanic" kind statement about wanting to stay at USC. There'd be some pretty p*ssed off Trojan fans. :fire:
 
Wouldn't be the first time a "college" coach lied about a job.
 
I'm not defending PFT or anything, but they did have the Saban to Alabama thing nailed from square one.

If this is true, bring AJ Smith to Miami as GM.



I don't however believe its true, number one Carroll has repeatedly said he wants total control, I really don't see AJ Smith giving up control and staying in San Diego.

And, I really don't see San Diego letting AJ Smith go....................
 
All I know is I dont want Pete Carroll or Marty Schottenheimer as the Dolphins coach....so either way, keep them out west. :wink:

Wont happen due to the fact that Pete Carroll wants full control and SD has a GM and it wont work. Stick a fork into that rumor..
 
Hmmm, Did anyone ever vision if Marty got fired that we could hire him and have his son as the OC? This would be a great way for Brian to learn the ropes and can also give good ole Dad some insight on making important calls for the big games?

I'm afraid not, BS can not leave the Jets unless its for a promotion.
 
My bad, but wishful thinking on my part. This coaching decision will be a tough one.
