Peyton Manning will surely want to play with talented receivers wherever he signs. But he’ll also want to play with reliable receivers who can be counted on to consistently meet his expectations. And in Miami, some doubt that Brandon Marshall fits that bill.
Marshall is undeniably talented, but Mike Berardino of the Sun Sentinel writes that Marshall could be a drag on the Dolphins’ pursuit of Manning, given his reputation for being difficult to deal with.
When Manning visited the Cardinals’ facilities on Sunday, Larry Fitzgerald didn’t only join the meeting because he’s a talented receiver. He also joined the meeting because he’s widely known as a congenial guy who works hard and gets along with his quarterbacks. That’s the type of person Manning will want to play with, and it’s fair to ask whether Marshall can be that kind of person.

and marvin harrison wasnt difficult to deal with? the guy sat on the bench and never talked to anyone. he had off field problems also and yet they were on of the best qb/wr combos ever.

Figures PFT would pick up on the negative Berardino blog. An assumption by Berardino and an irresponsible one at that...but hey, he's getting hits from it.

I like Marshall but if you guys are going to deny that a QB like Manning would have questions about Marshall you're not living in reality. Marshall is a handful.

In before one of the Mary Contraries: "yes, Marshall may been an alleged batterer, but Peyton had no trouble hooking up with someone who became an alleged Philly killer (and I don't mean the NYG!)

Yea, lets blame Marshall . . . while Tennessee preps for a meeting with Peyton and they have the angelic Kenny Britt at WR.

blah blah blah......Marshall stepped up and had Henne's back last season when everyone else was bashing and took time during the lock out to work with him. He was the struggling QB's biggest advocate. Not to mention Marshalls gripes were well founded since the QB play prior to that was abysmal. A top tier WR isn't happy unless he is being focused in the offense and it's explosive. Who would want a guy that was ok only getting 600 yds/season?? Not me!

Wasn't there a picture where Manning and Marshall were at a kids school together? Looks to me like they were getting along just fine
