With this news coming out about Kevin Vickerson firing his agent, and his agent talking about Vickerson's behavior problems...I remembered that Pro Football Talk said something about this weeks ago.
Here's the latest article from the Sun Sentinel:

Originally, I wanted to start this thread to show everybody that yes, Pro Football Talk does have sources, and they don't just make this stuff up as they go along.
But something funny happened when I went searching for the article in ProFootballTalk's rumor mill archive.
It isn't there. Nowhere. Gone. Taken out. I searched this here forum, and found that good ole regular BLITZKRIEG posted a thread about the PFT blurb. You can find it here:

As you can see from the original post, BLITZKRIEG posted this on July 1st, 2005.
Now, go to the Rumor Mill Archive at PFT...

Check out the archive of June 24, 2005 through July 15, 2005:

Try and hit Control-F to search for something. If you try to search the document, you get an error message that says "Error: 57 Permission Denied" Try to do this on any of their other rumor mill archives, and there is not a problem searching through the document. Suspicious.
So, I searched it manually...and the article is simply not there anymore.
So, two things.
A. Back to the original point I had, obviously PFT has some pretty good sources sometimes, and some bad ones at other times. They nailed this Vickerson thing almost 3 weeks in advance of Vickerson firing his agent and his agent telling the Sun Sentinel about Kevin being late for meetings and taking a weekend off and being late for the symposium. If you can get use to their editorial, you can find what stuff they write is likely to be true, and what stuff they write is primarily their opinion.
B. I think it is obvious that SOMEONE threatened PFT with lawsuit, or threatened them with something, if they did not take that Vickerson blurb off the page. I don't know if that someone was tied to Nick Saban, but it certainly makes their report that Nick Saban had the Dolphins facility checked for bugs seem more plausible because 1) If Saban's willing to have PFT threatened to take down a rumor like that about Vickerson I wouldn't put a bug-sweep beyond him, and 2) Because if PFT had this thing nailed so perfectly three weeks in advance maybe Saban wouldn't be so crazy after all to have the place checked for bugs.
Interesting note...when I get time I think I'm going to go search for that article they wrote about Saban checking the facility for bugs. I wonder if THAT has been erased too....
