Two weeks ago tonight, Dolphins receiver Ted Ginn made an impressive catch on a long touchdown that helped deliver a win over the Jets.

On Sunday, however, Ginn was back to eating pre-game popcorn, with multiple key drops in the 46-34 loss to the Saints.

Per ESPN's Chris Mortensen (who likely still has a pipeline to his former ESPN colleague, Bill Parcells), Ginn will see reduced playing time going forward.

Mort also said that, if the trade deadline were tomorrow instead of last Tuesday, the Dolphins would be dialing up the Ravens and offering Ginn to the team whose offensive coordinator, Cam Cameron, drafted Ginn in 2007 with the ninth overall pick.

:woot:
About time we get this clown off the field

They should have dialed them up BEFORE the deadline not kept him based on one catch! Anyway I still see Keyshawn and the crew practically laughing when Ginn was drafted as high as he was.........think they were right!!!!!

I still support Ginn. He had a bad game, but I think he will bounce back this week against the jets

Sorry, but I've think we've given him MORE than enough time now to start finally producing something. Basically ONE important catch in all this time and with all the drops or no catch weeks . . . . I think it's time to cut bait with this guy. Phase him out the rest of the year, get some playing time for some of the others who show some promise and see if we can get Cam to buy him back to the Ravens during the off-season.

I have had high hopes for Ginn and have seen those hopes crushed just to be resurrected with a good catch here and there. However, I am officially off of the roller coaster. For Ginn to give me any hope he would have to finish this season with 80+ catches 1300 yards and 10 tds. Anything short of that would not be able to change my opinion of him. He has never been consistent until this year. This year he has been consistently bad.

Yeah and then the next week against the Patriots...oh he's bad again. Too inconsistent. He has too many bad games as opposed to good games

he could have the greatest game of his NFL career this weekend. I don't care. the bottom line is the kid is wayyyyyy too inconsistent. That doesn't cut it in the NFL.

HE'S IN HIS THIRD YEAR FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!! It looks like he's gotten worse. How many chances do you want to give the kid? The job is not getting done. Plain & Simple.

He needs to improve his ball catching, and learn NOT to run out of bounds 6 yards before contact! Oh yeah, he needs to do all this with a DIFFERENT team!! I'm done supporting him.

I could careless if he can out run any DB in the league, if ya can't catch a chill in antarctica let alone a football that hits him in the hands.

I have been one of Ginns supporters for awhile now. I was skeptical when we drafted him but thought he showed steady progress. I was never whole heartedly sold on him but was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as long as he continued to show progess. Now it seams he has hit his wall. He is not a threat on special teams. He seems to be too small and lack the physical toughness a reciever must have in our offense. I think he hears footsteps and thats why he drops clutch catches. He never puts his shoulder down and goes into a DB for those important extra yards. He also does not like the middle of the field. The only thing he seems to be proficent at is streaking down the feild and making the catch if he has 3 steps or more on his defender. If he feels safe from getting hit he does ok but if he feels the threat of contact he falls apart. I do not know if that is something that can be fixed or not. I do know we need a better reciever in his spot. Ginn did not single handedly lose that game but he certainly was one of the key breakdowns. I really do not know what more I can say other then this:

I was wrong about Tedd Ginn Jr!

I don't know how people say he's inconsistent.....he consistently disappoints.

Keep him off the field...he only hurts Henne's development, and our team.

I still support Ginn. He had a bad game, but I think he will bounce back this week against the jets and then all the ******* hypocrits on this board will be saying, oh wait hes good again.

I support Ginn only because he is still on this team. I don't think he will be here next year though, and I don't mind that. I want him to do well for us, but it is getting a little ridiculous. Let's see if all this talk gets him playing like a true professional should.

Yeah Ginn had his chances already he has elite speed but no balls... Wish we had Desean Jackson from philly thats the type of player we need.

I agree with the fact of phasing Ginn out for the rest of the season, he's had more than enough chances to prove to all he's worthy of a #1 WR and failed miserably.

But the trouble is that if we bench him, his trade stock reduces even more and that's not good either.
