I think there are enough good players on the team that we don't need to panic yet.

Just cutting V. Carey and M. Columbo and replacing them withJohn Jerry at RG and Nate Garner at RT will be an instant improvement over Carey/COlumbo. Adding some depth or more talent to RG/RT spot is a must.

I don't think Clyde Gates is going to miraculously turn into a real deep threat so we need to get a WR in here fast. I don't think Braylon Edwards has signed anywhere yet. That guy is a beast and could really thrive in Philbin's system.

Charles Clay could be used as our second TE and i look for him to have a big year.

I am not sold on Daniel Thomas so perhaps the plan is to let that canadian compete with him for carries. Not sure how that will work out and i would like to see the Phins draft another big bruising running back at some point.

SO, without further ado, here is the playoff plan:

FA - sign Edwards
Draft - Weeden, RT, RG, RB, WR, TE, WR, OLB, Safety.

Voila, we get over the hump of a 7-9 season and make playoffs. Better at QB, better at OL, and more production from RB and TE. I think we could really make a push. Ireland isn't doing a bad job, just wait and see.

Dolphins 11-5 and playoff bound.

And if all else fails we can put a bounty out on Brady, ha ha, J/K.

GO PHINS~!

Edwards wont work well in the west coast offense, But i think Drafting some fresh young hungry receivers will help 2 receivers and a TE in the first 5 picks of the draft and it gives us a better chance to compete.

Actually i think Edwards would thrive in a WC system. He is big, physical, and makes YAC. Short routes in stride and he will eat up DB's. I would love to see that signing....

I don't think the Dolphins plan is to make the postseason this year, not saying they wouldn't want to but it seems like they are "partially" rebuilding. By that I mean I think they are going to try to build the rest of the team through the draft like QB WR and Safety. And I think to do that they'll want 3 years of drafting to do this, even though I think our team could've competed for the playoffs if our team had the same roster as we did last year with a new QB I think this is the decision of Ireland and Ross.

I expected your plan to involve the bubonic plague or something that would give us a more realistic chance.

Well, i think the team is already upgraded over last year with the exception of no replacement for B. Marshall. They need to replace him and i think they can still compete. DOn't understimate Moore with another year under his belt. Plus Garrard (pro-bowler) is a nice improvement over Henne. They are trying to make playoffs, just not the way Philly and Washington try to. THey are being smart and I think the team will be better this year than last year.

Go PHINS~!

So your plan basically involves Jeff Ireland hitting a home run with every single draft selection...college kids who can step in and contribute immediately and get us to the playoffs.

Makes sense to me. Where do I sign up?

Not all, just 2 or 3 (primarily QB, WR or DE). Every other position has a veteran option as backup. He did same thing last year, get 1 big name signed to a substantial but workable deal, few veterans, and drafted for BPA that fits needs. He's more or less getting away from the huge money guys like Dansby and Marshall from the Parcel years.

Just build a solid team. No one wants to hear it but it may take the new coach a year or two to have his team built. Along the way he'll find this QB and compete for the playoffs ... hopefully.

After the protest that took place yesterday how can the players not have motivation to go out and make playoffs.

Garrard was tasked that question on WQAM today and he answered "just win baby and it all goes away"
Good answer right ?

What about the player tweets regarding the Marshall trade and how they were confused by it. Sounds like a team that's ready to give it their all IMO.

They were probably shocked to hear he got traded but after all the details came out it made some sence.
The same way we all felt. Getting only 2 - 3rd round picks stinks but they had to move decisively.

6-10 no playoffs

Don't see us going better than 3-3 in our division, and that means we'd have to go 8-2 outside of it to finish 11-5 and make the playoffs.

No effing way.
