Over the last few days we've been talking about going to the game on Sat, the team, coaches, and all the young guys. The enthusiasm level in South Beach is not what it was a year ago. Last year everyone was much more excited in looking forward to Jordan with Wake nailing QB's, Wallace catching bombs from RT, Keller giving us a legit receiving TE, Miller breaking out, Grimes making plays, and even seeing Ellerbe playing with "hair on fire."

This year, it's seeing Albert and James block, Mitchell tackle, hoping that Finnegen can play like two yeas ago, and the enthusiasm level picking up on Landry and Lazor.

Is the forum feeling the same?

Nah. I'm a sucker; come April/May I always have high hopes and expectations.

Are you saying to do the lack of a Flashy (yet very productive) off-season that fans are not as excited?

You mean to say that Johnny Q Fan is not pumped about o-line signings and drafting?

Does it really matter if the fans are excited or not?

What level of excitement is appropriate for a team that has been the very definition of average over the last few years?

How can you judge the forums excitement?

Will number of posts in this thread be an indication?

Why isn't there a poll? A poll should be included.

As for me my excitement is at about the level of orange.

Sounds like you need to venture out beyond South Beach. From talking to random finfans, I get the vibe that enthusiasm is much higher compared to last season at this time.

Southbeach maybe, but for me this year is much more promising.
Tannehill is ready to come out and we have a n offense.

It eerily reminds of the Marino days. No defense, no run game. Only high octane passing, game after game. I hope we can correct this and be a balanced team.

A poll would be good but, I do not know how to add one. If you or someone else could help, it would be appreciated.

I only know how to add them when I start a tread...There should be an option when you edit your op...

When you create a thread there are additional options at the bottom, click create poll , when you hit submit thread it will give you options for the poll on the next page.

No need DF, fans from all over come here, and the "scenery" is MUCH better in being similar to your pic. :)

I'm not 100% enthusiastic about the season. I'm almost always looking forward to the season just b/c it's football and it's only here 4 months out of the year. But the other two teams I like (that are in my sig) have already had success this year (Spurs) or are doing pretty well so far (Nationals), something the Dolphins haven't made me say since 2008.

Prove me wrong Miami. For once.

This is like a movie scene where an android that previously passed itself off as a human starts melting down and catches fire and starts sparking all over the place.

All I can tell you with affirmation is that Armando Salguero clearly writes for transplants and trolls. He has had less bad news to report relegating him to non-existance with "real fans."

it all began with the firing of Ireland as well...

More. I think we finally have good talent deep into the roster. There are a few holes, but for the first time in years we are going to be cutting a few guys who make it elsewhere, and not because we just didn't take full advantage of their talent (like a Rob Ninkovich). I also think the combination of Lazor's offense, and the development I think we will see out of Tannehill in his third year could be potent. Especially with the talent we have now at the receiving positions.

Thanks DF, finally got the poll right. :)
