I was out of town this past weekend and was stuck watching the Dallas / KC game and only being able to watch the game update ticker across the bottom of the screen.

When we'd jumped up to a 20-7 lead, Dick Enberg (I think) commented, "My what a shocker if the Dolphins were to hold on and win! Think San Diego has been caught looking ahead to the Colts next week?"

Simms replied, "No. I think Miami is a team that has no quit in them. They're going to be good next year".

Yeah, that was good to hear Nantz and Simms giving us some props.

Oh, Nantz, okay. I knew it was a real familiar voice, thought it was Enberg.

It was impressive b/c the Dallas KC game was starting to get exciting and all they kept doing was going back for Fins updates and giving them props.

Yeah, it wasn't in some lull trying to make filler material.

Greg Gumbel and Phil Simms were great to watch last year. I am not sure if Greg demanded to be back in the studio with less travel time or if Nantz wanted out of the studio but, the chemistry between Simms and Nantz isn't the same as last yera's duo. I still like listening to them but I liked last year's combo better.

the announcers

did you hear them in our game saying Marty better his shots now?! And Saban is building a powerhouse for years to come...

I respect Phil Simms opinion a lot more than the Theisman tard. So hearing a compliment from someone who I respect is better.

I think we're good this year, and if we finish 9-7, even not making the playoffs, that will certainly be a good backing of my statement

yea i got chills when i heard that...simms is a standup guy... when i went to a nets game when i was a kid...me and my friend saw him and yelled phill!!!! he gave a quick wave from with his son matt...who is an amazing qb at ramapo i believe in new jersey

I was listening to espn radio monday nite befor the game and Sean Salsibury was asked about the dolphins, vs chargers game and he said that everyone was saying that this was the biggest upset of the season.

I have never had any issues with Phil Simms...he seems to call things as he sees them....unlike Joe Theisman and Randy Cross who let their egos get in the way. Cross never says anything good about Miami. :yell: :fire:
