"The big thing with Chad Henne is that many people don't even recognize his name. I have been impressed with him. He's played very well. He's very talented, and he absolutely has a chance to be in the same class as Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. But you can't tell anybody that because he's just not a big enough name. He wasn't ballyhooed on draft day. He probably deserved to be a first-round draft pick, but was not."

I think he nailed it. Don't usually agree with any of these people, but everything he said is true. I'm glad he wasn't over-hyped.

He's doing a good job with the WRs he has, and against good teams too. Let's see how he does throwing more often to the more popular/reliable hartline, camarillo, & bess.

Agreed!!! Watch when he gets the weapons..... double digit wins, multi seasons!!

Chad can make accurate throws 20+ yds downfield off his back foot. He's great in the pocket and can put the ball in such perfect spots on the shoulders of receivers. It amazing, hopefully he can control himself on the road. I think he will.

i think we're seeing the makings of our first Franchise QB since Marino in Henne...but that's just my opinion...

That's why every game is exciting. That, and watching ricky and ronnie do their thing. Can't wait to watch him with a playmaking WR.

I think Chad will be good, but take it easy. Simms talks to hear his voice sometimes. I know you're not comparing Marino and Henne, but for now let's not put those two names in the same sentence. Penni gave us some really good QB play last season, and now we finally have a young QB with some promise, lets not jinx him and enjoy the ride!

He's not Great in the pocket, he's okay and learning. He's getting better and will continue as he sees different defensive schemes.

Henne's great as long as he keeps climbing the Learning Curve. We'll see!!

Please don't quote Phil Simms, his pictures in the dictionary under Idiot.
Poor thing couldn't get a rock out of his shoe, with the instructions on the bottom.

That was from Simms' WQAM interview today.. He went on and said Henne is better than Snatchez at this point too (but that's obvious to anyone really).. And talked more about Henne.

You can hear the whole thing here-

What weapons does Flacco have to be fair? Nobody really comes to mind. Anyone know off hand?

derrick mason is getting kinda old, but he's still a good weapon and todd heap is an underrated tight end.
