Not sure what optimism you are talking about. They have 10 games before the bye(4 preseason and 6 regular season), and then 10 regular season games.
 
He could have meant it either way.
 
He must have been interrupted before being able to finish his thought.... You're going to play 10 games, then the bye, then you're going to play 10 more then a bye followed by 3 more..
 
He is talking about the preseason....

Preseason 4 Games + 6 regular season games = 10.... bye week.... week 8-17 is 10 more games..

If he was talking about the playoffs and superbowl, and not including preseason it would have been..

"The bye week is great... we have SIX games, a bye, then 14 games" lol
 
honestly if this guys worth his salt at all he can win 8 games even with matt moore under center with this schedule...so he's looking at a 2 game jump in one year...only way i see it getting south of that is if he stinks as a head coach or if they play tannehill too early and he's not ready and frankly blows
 
Not really bc we play 10 games after the bye week so that doesn't include a single playoff game

obviously he was talking about the preseason i mean its basic math guys lol. we dont have 10 games before the bye if you dont count the preseason lmao. this board man.
