I'm thankful we have these two guys on the team.. It keeps us higher in the draft order, it allows us to be the underdogs and it keeps our motto as "There no place but up"...

Now on a more serious note.. Today's game against the Jets is the perfect example of the entire season.. Our head coach sends out the punt team when its 4th and 1 inside Jet territory and then leaves the offense on later, when it was 4th and 5... I saw it as Philbin being in "conservative mode" and then realized it was ok, as we had nothing to lose... Philbin is learning as he goes, I give him credit for that.. but the guy lacks imagination or creativity... and yet, we have another year with him..

Coyle... I only have one thing to say about him... He's had 16 weeks to realize.. 16 games to understand you can not call a LB blitz and yet leave the CB in a soft coverage zone scheme... It doesnt matter if it was 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 22... our zone secondary just does not work and Coyle wasnt able to see that in a full years worth of game??

This board loves to say "Relax, its only pre-season... it means nothing" well can I start a new saying? "Relax... its the start of the off-season.. what happened during the regular season means nothing..

I really and truly can not understand how Ross has confidence in Philbin.. enough confidence to extend him for one more year... The failure of the team is directly linked to Philbin and Coyle... we know it, the players know and it seems the only one that doesnt know it is Ross... I am literally shaking my head!!

BTW... in case you havent heard.. Rex Ryan has publicly stated he would retire before taking a DC role... his quote was "He doesnt want to lead someone else's defense" So my best guess is another year of Coyle too

Philbin wasn't extended, he's coaching the final year of his contract. He's being given the go ahead to finish the job he was hired to do.

Philbin's a funny dude . . . when he has the chance to stick the dagger in, he trots out the FG unit. Then when the game is clearly over, he leaves his franchise QB in the game to take a punishment while half heartedly continuing to try to win the game.

I mean I just don't understand this dude. Horrible clock manager on top of it and pretty useless from a playcalling standpoint.

I respected Tony Sparano much more. At least I can say he didn't have a QB and his olines were good when healthy, they just never were fully healthy. He pretty much did what he could with what he had. Philbin is just pissing away another set of Dolphin years for us fans with his incompetence.

We saw it from day 1 on Hard Knocks, through bullygate last year, and all of the rumblings by players this year concluding with the Mike Wallace incident today. This is over Joe's head and we need a better leader in that lockerroom.

Sad news on Rex Ryan but Miami is the perfect spot for him doing DC cause Philbin will likely be out sooner than later and Rex will take the reins with Lazor as your OC which is perfect. B plan would be fire Coyle and take Vic Fangio.
