Philbin, Ireland, Sherman will all be present in Manning meeting

Interesting the timing seems like a power play from the Manning Camp trying to handcuff us at the start of free agency. That and not meeting at team HQ. Try to keep us out of the Flynn race, I would think that is why Ireland stays at HQ to be ready for the start of FA. Which is actually a good thing from aall angles.
Eh Lebron didn't meet with Riley in Miami either. But then again, that's Riley.

Adam S. just said on ESPN Manning could meet with fins tonight or in the morning but sources league wide do not expect manning to end up with fins... Same old same old but just passing it along.......

Forgive me if I laugh again for the millionth time.

It was a pathetic, sad, low point in our franchise's history... to have a Dolphins high ranking member ask a top talent that question.....

We must never forget. Ireland is on a short leash.

I guess I'm an *******, I liked that he asked him that question. It's a really good way to check his temperament. It's not like other NFL GM's haven't asked worse things before. Well at least, I hope they have.

Ireland just keep your ****ing mouth shut.

Yes, that's a totally rational wish. Have Ireland walk in, and not say a word. Yeah, that wouldn't creep anyone out! Shoot, Manning may even admire that!

Some of you, I swear.

Same lease sources that said we are getting Harbaugh, Fisher, Pace, Clark etc...

Riley is a cold blooded assassin

Riles had Mourning to do his player-based recruiting dirty-work. The phins have no one of that caliber still around and/or under such a contract as Mourning had.

One of the penalties of having a dysfunctional FO is you lose your best player-ambassadors.

Marino?

You honestly think Manning and Marino haven't talked to each other about him coming to Miami?

I say let Cleveland and Seattle fight over Flynn a little while this works itself out. Tell them of course were interested but dont make any suggestions and move on.

Im tired of being used. We are building through the draft.

Maybe in passing (if that), but nothing to the tune of what Mourning did for the Heat, which was a full on FO consulting position that'll likely net another 2 more NBA championships (due to the big-3 recruitment he helped put together) to go along with the one he helped orchestrate with Shaq. Marino isnt going to stick his neck out for a franchise/FO he's not even sold on himself, even if it is the Dolphins... especially if he's not on the payroll (which he's not).
Mad-Dog (may he RIP) was the same way. Remember what HE went through? You think any of these guys would go to bat seriously for the phins? They wont.

The best the Dolphins may have is Taylor, whom Manning has great respect for. But as far as I know JT isnt on the payroll in any fashion.

Tbh, if it were my front office I would've secret-secured Wayne well before Manning was let go. This way at the FA deadline Wayne is locked up and Manning has more reason to sign. I'd also have my most respected players (or former players) at the meetings, just like Denver had with Fitzgerald.
