Now that both MCCoy and Philbin have had a chance to coach what are your opinions of the two?

not much, they both coached their teams to 8-8 records.

McCoy gets some props for the playoff win against the bengals. But I think we would have beat the bengals for a second time, so I dont have much to add to that.

i think the mere fact that mccoy has a playoff W, you have to give him a slight edge.

Has anyone paid attention to their coaching styles and seen any difference?

Phillip Rivers > Ryan Tannehill.

That's the difference.

Yep, better quarterback with better talent around him = a lot more points.

That said, edge to McCoy. Playoff win on his resume. Joe Philbin: no playoff win on resume.

Chargers celebrate when they score TDs and are 24 points behind. I don't think they understand that they're in the playoffs.

Wish the Dolphins could understand that they need to get there first.

McCoy is a very conservative coach, but his team was in much better shape then what the Dolphins were when we hired Philbin compared to San Diego.

the difference is SAN DIEGO'S new gm this past draft had good draft picks while we didn't he got 3 starters basically with Fluker, Allen, Te'o (2 pro bowlers).... no offense to Jordan who seems promising but the rest of the draft flopped hard.

Philbin also won the head to head match up vs San Diego this year.

all in all McCoy is solid but i give Philbin the slight edge.....

McCoy was 9-7 this year

I don't think either coach will amount to much when all is said and done...

I wonder what Hayden Fox thinks?

A gun is pointed at Hayden Fox's head and he is given five seconds to choose between Brian Billick, Jeff Fisher, and Mike McCoy to be the new coach of the Miami Dolphins.

R.I.P.
