Philbin vs Ryan

There are many thoughts running through my brain after this season, but let's ruminate on this one for a while. This matchup alone should convince anyone that wanted to keep Philbin to change their mind. One coach has been given assurance of their job and comes out to lay an egg. The other is a lame duck and comes out with his team running on full cylinders. Ryan gives his teams the one thing our team lacks-HEART! Last year our offense sucked, and Sherman was the fall guy, not Philbin. This year, the defense is horrible and everyone wants to make Coyle the fall guy. When does Joe take the blame for being in charge of the whole thing?

If Joe was fired tomorrow does anyone think he would get another interview for a HC position. Pretty certain Ryan will be a HC again

3-4 weeks ago the headlines were Rex lost his team, that he would be fired any day. You guys and your grass is always greener, drama queen post game reactions. A fake punt sealed the game in the 4th. It happens. Onto another offseason with a competent GM at the helm.

If Joe was fired tomorrow does anyone think he would get another interview for a HC position. Pretty certain Ryan will be a HC again

Head coach interview! Philbin would be lucky to get an interview as and OC. Rex will be interviewed for HC and DC.

One had a talented roster one didn't. Even the announcers commented on how the Jets didn't even spend to the cap today. Rex was handcuffed by a GM that didn't hire him and a garbage roster. Is Rex Ryan Belichick? Hell no.

You think things are bad now. Wait until we actually have to pay Tannehill QB money. Would you take less $$$ from this franchise after they've subjected you to nearly 150 sacks in 3 seasons

Gotta love Phins fans saying I don't want guys like Harbaugh or Ryan here. Is anyone else aware of the last time this team made an AFC championship game? This organization has 1 road playoff win in the last 40+ years. Guys take your heads out of the sand for fux sakes.

If Philbin was hired by the Jets in '09 do you think your buddy would be happy with him after year 6? Philbin will never see a year 6 as a HC. Rex and Tannenbaum effed things up (especially Sanchez decision) but it doesn't mean that Rex can't coach. Admittedly he should keep his hands off the O but he is a better coach than Philbin. After Philbin is fired he will never see a HC gig again. Rex will be a HC again. Bet you Browns fans thought Belichick was a ****ty hire for the Pats

Rex was incapable of fixing his offense. The man hired Tony Sporano to be his offensive guru. He supported Buttfumble well past his expiration date. Lol.

Yeah. He makes fantastic decisions. He's a one trick pony coach (defense) whose mouth made him look a fool much too often. Jets fans can't wait for a fresh start. But here on the Miami boards he's an instant hire.

Joe is as average as it comes. But Rex is no savior. Open your eyes.

This is only Rex's second sub .500 season. His overall record looks a lot worse because of this season.

And if only Joe went to a team that didn't have a D who gave up 30-40 points per game in the final four games of the season.

You know it's kind of the HEAD coaches job to fix the entire team. Rex shows his incompetence hiring Tony Sporano. You know why Rex would find success going to a team with an established QB and offense, because he a great D coordinator, not a great HEAD coach.

How do we give up a PERFECT passer rating to Geno Smith? Geno Smith! He might have been the only QB that had a worse rating on deep balls than Tannehill before this game. He's probably ahead of him by now. How can you not see something is up with Finnegan and he's getting burned. It took three quarters for them to figure that out. This whole thing with Wallace is on his head. We may keep blaming the Defensive Coordinator for one thing and Wallace for another and another person for another thing, but ultimately, he is the head, the captain of the ship. Sometimes the captain must go down with the ship.

rex is in high demand, he is a top 10 HC in this league and those connected w/ the league know it. we were foolish to change just for the sake of change but that is what mediocre/bad franchises do and right now we are one of those.
