There was a story sometime back on philbin telling everyone in the dolphins brain trust to draft Carr and dump tannehill and he was shot down, if true wether philbin got fired eventually or not we passed on a really good maybe soon to be elite qb. Sorry for the typo in the thread name should have read onto something

Carr is twice the QB Tannehill is. I don't know who in the Dolphin's organization may have wanted to draft him, but they would have been right.

I predict that Tanny will have a great game or two coming up, he's due, about this time every year he comes out with a couple of performances after an abject start, then the Tanny supporters will be back in the droves on here. Of course what'll then happen after the few games of form is the regression again. It's the same pattern every season and it lulls in those that think Tanny can do no wrong.

Sorta similar to how those who dislike him come out of the woodwork for their annual couple posts?

Did Carr fall to where Miami was drafting?

Hard to agree with Philibin much on player evaluations. We would have Brandon Marshall and Vontae Davis if Philibin had handled those two differently. I'm still hoping that Ryan Tannehill has another level. If not, then the team has a really tough decision come draft day. It's not said to be a very good draft for quarterbacks and the Dolphins have all kinds of needs.

we picked James instead, Hickey drafted to suit tannehill also why he drafted Landry. We could have had Carr and landry, not James who's playing bad and being benched

That would be the only thing Philbin was right about. That being said, drafting Carr would've been HUGE. He's much better than Tannehill.

Derek Carr wouldn't have saved Joe Philbin's job. On the other hand, I'm positive Philbin would've ruined Carr.

DC is better off playing in Oakland. Our team is the epitome of dysfunction.
