Philbin was suspect as soon as he picked Sherman and then let Sherman be the major factor in selecting a new QB. That was Philbin's biggest decision and it was suspect and questionable. I don't care if they reached in the draft, my issue is with the decision heavily residing with Sherman. If it all works out, I'm wrong, but it does not seem to be working out.

I don't see anyone else really believing either, this team looked done at the end of the game. I mean, really done.
 
If Sherman and RT don't work out, do you consider this on Philbin?
 
Joe is Teflon around here. Always has been.

It's not just after the fact, I'm sure I've posted this before. Call it as you will though. The point and question still stands.
 
Sadly I do agree.

Sherms has been suspect in most of his play calling all season.

Joe elected Sherms (hopefully not as a "you owe me").

Thus Sherms is Joe biggest error thus far if this season does not get turned around.

Call me desperate but I would not mind seeing Sherms let go and Philbin take full control of the Offense.
 
It was discussed last year when, he fired Ocho on TV in a discussion when someone said he looked unsure of himself.

I'm self employed and I'll tell you this because it's happened to me. If you hire someone and they steal from your company, who is ultimately responsible? The employer is. I'll tell you something else, you NEVER hire friends or family. Big problem. Philibin is totally responsible for the bad results and the product on the field. Like Armando said today--the team is regressing. Philibin was quite testy in his presser today and you can just feel the hotseat through the TV. He MUST make major changes to the offense, including taking over play-calling, pushing a trade for a WR or TE, or even relieving his friend and O-coordinator of his duties or he will be gone too. This is his first real test of leadership. I'm pulling for him but I can't see him cutting his friend and mentor loose. Loyalty is a wonderful thing but it can also bring you down with the ship if you're loyal to the wrong person. You watch--it will be loyalty to his friend or to the success of the organization. I personally think if he chooses his friend he's doomed.

That is precisely why you never hire friends or family. They will let you down and ultimately cost you your job.
Philbin needs to decide if he wants to coach the Fins, or be Sherman's friend. If Sherman goes, the QB coach goes with him. We would be upgraded instantly.
Frankly, that is the best case scenario.
The dream scenario would be Sherman, Young and Ireland all go...
 
Philbin needs to strip the play calling away from Sherman and call the plays himself. Sherman's play calling is putting us in ba situations esp when we start Having a lead

Couldn't agree more. John Harbaugh fired his former boss and friend Cam Cameron and wound up winning a SB in the same season. Does Philbin have any Harbaugh type leadership in him? We'll see...

After looking at the stats, it was bothering seeing how Tom Brady only had 116 yards passing and miami lost. Seriously, when the defense causes that and Brady is at an all time low, your team Should win, but miami found ways to lose which sucks. The refs **** on miami, but fins made mistakes themselves and stupid turnovers too. Bad or mediocre teams find ways to lose, whereas, good teams find ways to win. I hope the pick things up fast or else it will be another medicore season by fins again
 
Who else were we going to pick? Indy wasn't giving up that 1 and it would have cost more than 3 firsts and a second for RGIII, who you would be complaining about for his injuries. The only other QB taken in the first round was old man Weeden and after that you have Osweiler in the bottom of the second and Wilson in the third. We don't have the running game or team Wilson has around him and he would have been high risk due to his size.
 
How do you know it was all Sherman and Philbin? Ireland was high on Tannehill even before Philbin came aboard according to him.
