Philbins Final Traing Camp Press Conference

Philbin talks about the OTA's. Something that may soothe some of the pain from the performance from the o-line today was that they didn't tell any of the players how they wanted the players to line up or correct any of the mistakes that they saw being made. They wanted all of the players to correct their own mistakes, right or wrong, on their own and to remember what the playbook said to do in each circumstance. The coaching staff really wanted to test the players knowledge today.

Said obviously at first glance the D put good pressure on the QB.

Said Tannehill and Wallace have hooked up a number of times deep.

Said Wallace had a really good OTA program.

Said they had 99% OTA attendance which he has never seen before.

Said Jones play speed and pursuit to the ball has improved over last year. Said he seems to be practicing harder. Maybe the light bulb has gone off.

Haven't finalized a decision on whether JT will join the coaching staff but that he is welcome anytime.

Singled out Rishard Matthews, James, and Taylor has showing most improvement through camp.
