Philbin declines to say whether he will retain his coordinators. Though Lazor seems certain to be back.

Barry Jackson ‏@flasportsbuzz
... unless Lazor surprisingly takes job elsewhere. Coyle? Philbin passed on a chance to remove doubt.

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens
Philbin: Players deserve a coach that believes in them. It's important for an NFL HC for the owner to believe in him too #Dolphins

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Philbin says he "absolutely" believe in everything DC Kevin Coyle is doing defensively.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
JP said he celebrated news of him coming back. "I had one Guinness."

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Philbin: "In first two years we were top 10 in scoring defense." He points out some freakish events with total points, like NE 3rd quarter.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Philbin on recent struggling D: "Sometimes you can weave those statistics anyway you want."

Barry Jackson ‏@flasportsbuzz
Philbin said he agrees philosophically with Coyle's approach, including playing the 4-3.

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL
#Dolphins HC Joe Philbin said finishing w/winning record is big for the organization. It also would give the team a winning record at home.

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL
#Dolphins HC Joe Philbin on RT Jason Fox's first start: "I thought he did alright. He contributed to the win."

Greg Likens ‏@GregLikens
On importance of 9 wins: Starts with the way we approach things. Goal is to win every time we step out onto the field #Dolphins

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
JP says momentum in the offseason is "absolutely" important. Among reasons winning Sun. important to him.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Philbin said when he found out from Ross he was returning it was more "gratitude" than "relief."

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Philbin: I've been in this profession for a long time, I wasn't worried about my future.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
Joe Philbin says he likes the way the power structure (with GM Dennis Hickey) worked but does not know if he'll be back.

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL
#Dolphins HC Joe Philbin said QB Ryan Tannehill made a lot of big plays in the game.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero
Dennis Hickey will be back.

Barry Jackson ‏@flasportsbuzz
No surprise here, but Dolphins owner Stephen Ross told me today that GM Dennis Hickey will be back next season.

He was really animated for the first time yesterday when Colledge was punched in the face. Way to go Joe....finally some fire.

Philbin refuses to name his starting DC for 2015...

Means nothing with Philbin. He refused to name Tannehill starter going into the Oakland game when I knew that meant absolutely nothing even though the media made a big deal out of it. Philbin's not in the habit of naming names. If you read the other tweets he backs Coyle 100% which tells me Coyle's not going anywhere.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Coyle says it's not his place to talk about his future, he's here to talk about the game

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Coyle: I hate to keep saying that each week but I think we're a lot better than what we've shown. We were very inconsistent.

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL =
#Dolphins DC Kevin Coyle said he's "disappointed" in the defensive performance. Way too many errors and explosive plays.

Hal Habib ‏@gunnerhal
Kevin Coyle won't address his future but says he was "thrilled for coach," referring to Ross' announcement on Joe Philbin.

I want Coyle out, but it is complete chicken **** that Philbin did not stand up for his coaches. He is completely spineless.

He can barely stand up for his QB that saved his ass...btw the same QB Philbin threatened to bench going to London.

Such a brutal leader.

Yea that was kinda my point. He did that for the Oakland game, and he's just being short with the media again. Coyle will be back.

I am sure Coyle will be back and that is why it is so chicken **** not to back him.

I'm just happy there's this much discussion about it.

He did stand up for them. Do you even listen to the interview? He was very complimentary to Coyle.

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL
#Dolphins DC Kevin Coyle said DE Dion Jordan played well and was a force in several areas.

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL
#Dolphins DC Kevin Coyle said he will evaluate "everything" in offseason w/Dion Jordan. That includes possibly using him at LB. Interesting.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP
Coyle says he still needs to see more out of Jamar Taylor & Will Davis. "I wish by now we had a better feel."

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 5m5 minutes ago
Coyle says he hasn't seen enough of consistency from Taylor & Davis. "They need to improve in the offseason."

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerNFL
#Dolphins DC Kevin Coyle said he still wants to see more consistency from CBs Will Davis and Jamar Taylor heading into next season.

Barry Jackson ‏@flasportsbuzz
Coyle likes some of what he has seen from Jamar Taylor and injured Will Davis "but hasn't been a consistency that's up to our standards."
