Just listening to WQAM, Big O is interviewing Jeff Darlington. Talking about the additions to the team. All of a sudden, Darlington just belts out

"Have you SEEN Phillip Merling? He looks SICK. He is going to be unbelievable."

Very rare you hear a rookie getting this kind of praise so soon, especially from Darlington (who tends to be quasi negative, IMO, like most of the Herald writers).

Just thought I would share. Got me excited.

I think Merling has a very bright future. If the combination of Roth, Langford, and Dotson can pan out, we will be alright there.

You got me worried there for a second after reading the title. I thought this was a thread that he looked ill.

Glad it is the good type of "sick".

 Sorry about that! I guess it could be interpreted that way.

Kind of like, he looked FAT ... I mean PH fat. ;)

Yeah when I read the title I thought you meant sick as in ill and I was worried. Now that I know you mean sick as in badass or amazing, I hope gets very sick!

If he looks sick then why is he out there? What have the team doctors said? Anything from the FO?

And no, I refuse to lower myself to that of that immature "its opposite". I think our mothers and fathers deserve better.

Now then, if you're saying he looked great then why not just come out and say it?

How about using regular words where SICK means SICK as in ill. BAD means bad, as in not good? Sick does not mean great or even good in the English language. Bad does not mean good. How about using regular english that regular people understand? This is NOT the Jim Rome Show. Hearing that Philip Merling looked SICK does NOT get me excited...I know you were just passing along what you heard on the radio.
