This is just for fun in the offseason.
There is a report that Rivers is not signing an extension for any time beyond '15. And maybe S.D. trades him to Tennessee to get the number 2 pick (Mariotta).
I know we have the 14th, but what if Tannehill went with that 14?
Would you be ok as fans to let our franchise qb go to get a 33 year old (9 playoff appearances) Rivers for a Super Bowl run in the next few years?
I'm not suggesting we do this, just for fun to hear arguements either way. Are we all Tanny or bring in a playoff experienced guy?

Yes, Yes, a thousand times Yes...

No.

Its not like we're a good QB away from being the favorites so why throw away a good cheap and young QB when I honestly believe his ceiling is close to Rivers.

I wouldn't even trade Tannehill straight up for rivers.... I'm not sure rivers is much better at this point and i really can't deal with another 10 years of searching for a qb after rivers retires in 2 years..

It's true Rivers is not in the elite category, but he has playoff experience, football wisdom, and dare I say..a deep ball? haha

I like Rivers, he is one of my favorite QBs, but NO...

The Dolphins need to compete this year and build a team to continue to compete in the future.

They need to draft QB's and bring them up in this system. If Tannehill does not take a step forward this season, then they need to draft a QB and throw him in to the mix

Not in a million years. Rivers is barely any better as it is. Tannehill will be far better

Awful thread, hijack time

Are you guys kidding me....Philip River is 10 times the Qb Tannehill is, **** I would give them RT, a first, Dion Jordan, and another later pick. Well worth it to take this team to the next stage. Plus he has a good 5 year left. **** it would be similar to adding Manning to the Broncos.
