Was reading Peter King's article, and there were several tidbit on the phins. Just FYIs mostly:

Quote of the Week II

"I think sometimes the media accentuates the negative things, as evidenced by things like Anna Nicole Smith's passing and the all attention it got. We've got people running for president who are making history and it doesn't get as much attention as the negative things. It's the same thing in our situation now. The guys who are getting into trouble are getting so much attention, but the guys who are doing things right don't get a whole lot. There are a ton of guys around this league doing things the correct way, and trying to represent themselves and their organizations and improve the communities. Unfortunately they don't get the same coverage. Perception becomes reality."
-- Miami defensive end Jason Taylor, on the spate of trouble NFL players have encountered in the last year.

Quote of the Week IV

"I am not interested in defining what my style is. I learned something from Tony Dungy. He said, 'As a head coach, don't worry about your style. You already have a style.' He said, 'If you win, it's going to be because of your style, and if you lose, it's going to be because of your style.' He's right."
-- Rookie Dolphins coach Cam Cameron.

f. Miami has 14 games in the Eastern time zone.

Also, early in the article when talking about the draft an executive stated regarding the value in the 1st round of this draft, they would have to be #9, which just happens to be us lol.

You missed this one.

5. I think it's a matter of time before Miami deals for Trent Green. Cam Cameron was Green's quarterback coach 11 years ago in Washington, they bonded well, and Cameron thinks Green would be perfect to run the Miami offense he's bringing with him from San Diego. Now, Cameron's on a slippery slope with Daunte Culpepper, because Culpepper's still a couple of months from being fully healthy, and Cameron is not sure what he has with Culpepper. I think his best move would be to deal a conditional pick (based on 2007 playing time) to Kansas City for Green, then keep Culpepper instead of throwing him away before he can see if Culpepper can be the player he once was. Because unless the Dolphins pick Quinn in this draft, trading for Green still leaves Miami without a long-term solution at quarterback.

It looks like Cam, Randy and the rest of the coaches are going to be in for some serious brainstorming over the next two weeks leading up to the draft. Lots and lots of talking about the QB situation ... no doubt. I want to go into training camp this year thinking ... wow, Cam and Randy got us some really good guys for this year's team in the draft. I want to see this team feeling good going into September.

From what I've seen of Cam and Randy, they're probably going to make some good moves. Let's hope so. I hope Randy and Cam have some sort of ingenious master plan because we definitely have some holes to fill on this team ... especially on the offensive side of the ball. I think they've done pretty good so far with getting Porter and Schlesinger. They need to stay sharp and keep on reeling in high quality Dolphins on the boat. :D
