Phins miss out on Crosby

i wouldn't say miss out, we are kinda stacked at WR now, how many can we keep on our team? chambers, boston, booker, thompson, gilmore, welker, davis and more, and we cant keep em all... i doubt this kid would have made the team
 
I don't think he was ever a huge target of ours. Not strong enough to give up a pick for him, anyways.

We have enough stockpile at WR. Given not all of our receivers are pro bowlers, this kid has been out of football for 3 years.
 
i think we had a vague interest... but he would have struggled to make the 53.

Yea, perhaps the Colts saw something from this guy that some of us missed. You'd think he'd have a hard time making their roster, but a year on the PS and he could be in line to replace one of their starters...(Harrison will be 35 then and Wayne will be approaching 30 and Stokely 31 by then.) Kinda interesting, but I think us passing on Crosby is not an issue. Teams usually only use the supplemental draft for either a very special player (which there were really none this year) or for a need position. Saban apparently doesn't feel WR is a dire need for us. Also, somewhere along the line we have a connection with USC ( I'm not sure who) but that may have played a part of why we drafted him. Besides, if a fifth round pick turns out to be a diamond, you consider yourself very lucky ( see Zach Thomas).

its not about scrambling to find a WR, this kids not gonna start anytime soon... its about having a roster spot for the guy... we already have LOTS of WRs on our roster and all wont make it as is... i dont know the colts roster situation depth wise, but obviously they think they'll have space for him... i personally dont think we would have...
